The question of chief interest, now, to the governments and the peoples of Sirius is, What are the intentions of the Gallic Forces. Will they move towards peace, or will their enthusiasm swing more towards the vigorous prosecution of war?
This is a great question. On its solution depends not only the outcome of a war, but the fate of Sirius itself.
I have heard that President Powell described the Liberty-Rheinland war as an adventure, despite the fact that his people demanded its cessation. This, it seems, is the spirit of the Gallic forces. An adventure to strike revenge against the people's of Sirius.
What do the people of Sirius want? They want reform, they want better schools and increased prosperity in this time of economic hardship. But, lo, that is not to be. Greed yet again clouds a bright future. The greed of a would be Queen seeking to cement her throne.
No, the Coalition will not allow the people to be harnessed to the chariot of DeFrance's imperialism. Our banner will stand next to yours, as we face your enemy together. We are your allies and your friends. I have long maintained that we are brothers, and that no one picks on our brother.
Away with the Imperialistic Robbers!
Long live a Revolutionary Spirit!
Long live Peace and the Brotherhood of our Nations!

Greetings, Premier,
I have sent an official response via private comms. It seems someone tried tapping our comm array. The perpetrator has been executed at the hands of one of my guards. This should be straightened out but considering times, I have sent you a secure transmission.

Salud, camerada,
I am forwarding the compliments of the military for your handling of the Gallia Question, sir. The, pardon my French, bitch that is Aurelia de France should prove no match for the Coalition. After all, we've crushed her before but, like a cockroach, she just won't give up and die. The rest of the forces of Gallia seem well-equipped, however, as you well know. De France may be easily swatted aside, but, unfortunately, in real terms, the Zoners on Freeport 6 have no chance, not without sacrificing holdings elsewhere. That is, of course, unless they accept the protection of a benevolent force moving to assist.
However, I cannot help but feel some perverse pleasure at witnessing this. We had called for that unwashed whore to be removed from the Zoner community before, but they, of course, denied us. It's their own fault, I suppose. We told them that it was she that was the warmongering imperialist, not us. Nobody listened, except, funnily enough, the Corsairs.
Maybe the Corsairs would be interested to hear of this update, about this woman that would gladly commit crimes of genocide against their people, signing up to join Imperial Gallia?
Also of note, sir, some of our agents report that Zoners have been making arrests over intelligence leaks. Rumour even has it that there has been executions. Now, I wasn't informed that the Zoners had state secrets, but this is an interesting change of pace. I would recommend that we suggest that they lethally remove any that may be seen as sympathetic to our foes in Gallia and interrogate any with previous connections to de France.
Give us time to prepare, and we will do our duty to the people, Premier Katz. We may lack the manpower under her command, and the hardware, but our logistics and supply are the most developed and advanced in the sector. We can, if nothing else, illicit support from the populace for our movement by way of example.

Greetings, Comandante,
I don't believe I've had the privilege of your acquaintance. It is good to hear from you.
I would like to clear up one thing, we keep no state secrets. The problem we encountered stems from the fact that we have been the only Zoner group actively making an attempt at bringing DeFrance to justice. Because of that, we recently caught someone attempting to get into our communications array. One of my Klingon Guards found him and executed him on the spot. While we have no other suspected leaks, we are changing our code database to prevent this from happening again.
Comandante, no one lives with more shame than I do over Aurelia DeFrance. When TAZ left the old Council of Zoners and I had stepped down as chairman, I handed the reigns to her. That is a blemish I live with. She had me that badly fooled. I could blame it on my poor health at the time but it's no excuse. I have none for that. That is why I set forth to make right what I had done so wrong and subsequently constructed Med.Force.One.
Something tells me the Corsairs probably already know about all of this. To date, I've yet to hear anything. Only the Coalition has taken action which is most appreciated. I would suspect, however, that Kusari will take any assault in Tau 29 as a threat.
Comandante Ares, Premier Katz, I will do my best to keep you informed.

Salud, Ambassador,
It is with regret that I must converse with you for the first time on a war footing. We, in the Coalition, are people of peace, as you have no doubt borne witness to in Omega 52. However, we are made up of a vast variety of ideologically inclined, yet practical people. We realise that, unfortunately, in order to achieve our goals of peace and prosperity for all people, we must use some violence against our oppressive foes. Those that lord over others, such as the monarchy in Gallia, will not respond to anything but brute force.
Therein lies some problems. Intelligence has gathered that Gallia has a near monopoly on brute force. Their forces, whilst not unstoppable, may, if current circumstances continue, prove unbeatable for the Zoner presence in the Taus, and even Baffin should not be considered safe.
Luckily, there are ways to slow their advance, or make it prove too costly. Pitched battles may prove fruitless, but guerilla strikes against high-priority targets, such as those witnessed in the Coalition/Corsair Conflict, may slowly force monarchist targets to rethink occupation. The capture or assassination of royal family members, ranking nobles and officers, may force the invaders to rethink their opinion of your power.
Power, is, of course, based on perception. You may not control massive fleets, but the correct application of small amounts of force could have the same desired effect, with the additional benefit of less lives being lost in collateral damage. This would be good for morale and public relations.
On morale and public relations, your religion could prove decisive here. Officially, the Coalition is vehemently opposed to any form of religion, enforcing secularity in all official capacities. However, in spite of the poor taste it leaves in my mouth, it can prove useful. Those marines and pilots of a Muslim background, for instance, respond well to enemies being referred to as 'crusaders', for instance, or alien threats being acknowledged by clerics as 'demonic'. You may find that promoting your state religion, setting it up in opposition to the 'Crusaders and Templars from Gallia', who are, obviously, out to convert your people by the sword, may create an army of zealots rallying behind you. Such zealots, being victims of religion, are limited in some respects, but tend towards loyalty and bravery, very useful traits in soldiers.
Loyalty is an issue of grave importance, however. I would recommend severely amping up state security. You, sadly, must keep certain issues secret from your people, for their own good. Your anarchic system of governance may work for you in times of peace, but the fact of the matter is that anyone could easily be a spy or traitor. You must establish some sort of monitoring system, to keep an eye on potential traitors. It has happened once already, and could easily happen again. This is key to your very survival. The next traitor may even fly TAZ colours, and may not simply defect openly, but may send information regarding troop movements, communication frequencies or anything else of importance. They may poison water supplies, they may murder politicians, ambassadors and the like, they may sabotage fuel dumps, contaminate your stations' oxygen or worse.
It is for these grave reasons that I suggest that you very closely monitor your people. We agree with your beliefs in freedom, but must emphasise that in this situation, that of war (one that I am far too familiar with for my liking), security and safety should be your first concerns. You must keep tabs on every single person on your Freeports, without fail, even those that you would consider utterly irreproachable. After all, one of your so-called 'best and brightest' betrayed you.
Change your security patterns, your security codes, patrol times, personnel et cetera. Change them immediately, and do not share such secrets with others. Security must be tight. We can assist in such modernisation and upgrading of protective measures and security. Our engineers are expert in the physical side of this, our agents in the Commissariat can assist in the social side of this, helping one set up something of a counter-intelligence service, specialised in rooting out spies, conscientious objectors, saboteurs and similar. Our own intelligence agents will be available to you to help grade your potential recruits on grounds of loyalty and reliability.
It is with regret that it has to come to such extreme measures, but we in the Coalition are peoples of hope, hope for the future. The fires of war can not only be used to destroy, but to create. They can be used to forge both of our nations from brittle iron into strong steel, and that is what we shall do.
I look forward to working with you in the future, Ambassador, and hope that, in the future, you can return to your most respectable medical profession.
