So far I got brief short cuts on OPG and BSG (thanks a lot to those two, I've been checking through shots - a lot of nice stuff that surely will go into final), a lot of scenery views, transitions, but so far few battle scenes and on. In a next few days I'll be showing on my camera ship a lot more (have been quite busy for the last two days), so catch it up! Currently it's 15GB of 400GB. I will delete bad takes but still amount of material grows on, I've starting sorting out cut and importing them as project media into Sony Vegas project.
Finally I'd like to once again remind that it's better to cut off OOC entirely when the camera ship is around as I cannot take out text messages from the video (I could of course make them unreadable, but I don't want that), so whatever you say may get into the final cut. I do my best to take nice shots of ships and all that. Let's keep it all civil and nice. :-)
Several changes due to technical issues. I can no longer make huge movie because my PC crawls down to unbearable speed with that amount of uncompressed video pulled into Vegas and modified in real-time. Sure I can split it into parts but then I'll need to work on them separately rendering each one into uncompressed stream for merging. And I'll be running out of free hdd space soon (currently I have 100+GB of video material sorted, and those are good takes, bad takes were deleted).
So it'll be 5-10min movies coming out, episodic content mostly.
I'm already in a process of ordering equipment to upgrade my machine (actually new machine, the current one I'm using at this moment will be added to rendering "minifarm"), plus I'm adding my laptops and a dedicated server for network rendering. So, may be, just may be, I'll be able to make larger movies then.
New RM vs TBH episode is in works. No release date yet as I'm rather stuck with problems at my rl job, but I can assure - you will see it.
I'm also experimenting with x264 compression (x264 is a free library for encoding H264/AVC), it may result in lesser file size while keeping video quality at good level.
