According to the tech chart, Researcher ID is green with Junker tech.
The Salvager, if I'm not mistaken, is considered a Transport.
So, would a Researcher IDed Salvager (with/without Junker IFF) be a valid combination?
Excerpt from the Salvager infocard: "As such the vessel is never seen outside of the hands of Junkers, as the ship is by no means sold, so much as it is almost grown through years of combing and love of their crews."
It's allowed within the rules, yes, but just get permission from the congress, tell them what you want to do with it, maybe how it will benefit the Junkers as well.
well if the rules say that a researcher can have one (green) then you shouldn't need to let a faction know. As it should be already sorted out.
The problem is of roleplay, due to the salvagers info card. Which would have to be that the researcher is a junker (junker IFF) who spends most of there time researching, instead of there ussual business.
Thats my opinion. Best talk to an Admin and see what they say about it.
Technically the Salvager is a Junker-only ship. It is built by the more rich or powerful families and passed down through generations and modified/upgraded.
A setting that would allow that combination would be that of a Salvager heavily modified for research purposes owned by a Junker researcher. ( The scrap field around Bornholm is a prime spot for that sort of roleplay, may I add.)
