Need some help please with a wep loadout for the Ravens Talon. I read in another post with a different topic that Ravens Claw with 2 Sunblast Bs, 4 Skyblast As and 2 Skyblast Bs can destroy most any other fighter without breaking sweat due to the 750 projectile speed and all.
Would that particular loadout work on a Talon?
Another mentioned Nomad weps?

Do you fly this ship already and can offer any help or can some of the more experienced players help at all.
What would you equip on the Talon and why?
Post here or PM's appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Its trial and error, what works for some, will not work for others. Down to fighting style and plenty of other
things. Go have a play ...

The answer to this question is very subject to the Roleplay position of you character. In general I look for guns I could reasonably have on my ship (RP) and then I try to match the projectile speed on all of my guns if possible.

Other than that basic idea, scan other peoples' ships for their loadouts:)

i've tried the nomads and i'm currently trying something similar to the loadout you described.

it depends on your skill really.

can you turn and hit a fast moving target with a slow refire weapon that you have to arc tremendously?

or

are you better at the spray and pray method?

Depends on your role play as was said before. If your Corsair or Corsair friendly (or even Junker, as they deal with Corsairs quite regularly [Yanagi]) there is a very good setup for it. 2 Salamanca MkIs (make sure it Mk I, not II, as these are for the level 8 slots), 2 Tizonas, 3 Nomad Cannons, and 1 Nomad Blaster. You could use 4 cannons, but the blaster and cannons together give you the effect of a 8.33 refire gun. For example; if all your shots hit at the same time, and they have very little shield left, than you wasted alot of energy firing. You Tizzys, Salamancas and blaster will fire at the same time (5 guns) and gives more firepower than the 3 cannons that fire at a different time from them. So no matter what, you'll hit hull right after you hit shield, and have a chance to hit again sooner if your main shot misses. It does a ton for accuracy, as does the fact that all those guns have the same projectile speed (600m/s).

An Outcast's/Outcast Ally's as well as a lawful setup is quite different, but has some similarities. 2 Disinfector 2s, 2 Disinfector 3s (Kusari guns, but also sold on unlawful bases in Kusari, like Kyoto, and I think Ainu), and as before, 2-3 cannons, and 1-2 blasters. The reason you'd want to use Disinfectors, is because they are the only fast refire lawful gun, and the only Outcast/Outcast ally gun that has a projectile speed of 600m/s to match the nomads. This setup has better energy management than the Corsair version, but does less shield damage because of the lack of Tizonas.

No matter what, your going to have alot of energy problems. This is because of the ship carrying 8 guns, as well as the fact that the Ravenclaw just doesn't have as good a power core as most VHFs. But it has a small hitbox and its shape makes it hard to hit. But these two setups have the best energy to damage ratio for it. But try to always have your shots hit, as you won't get many if your holding the firing button down.

He's looking for an RT setup, Dab... although that RC one looks nice...

With RT, I'll say 'Go Discover'... or look for screens in message dumps for VHF setups.;)

After much looking to match projectile speeds, the Dublin Duster Molly series of guns also has a projectile speed of 600, Dab. A popular setup for Outcasts/allies is a Kraken/Advanced Debilitator setup, though I'm told that drains so much energy as to be insane.

I think he messed up the title actually, which is kind of common since we have two 'Ravens'. His post said Ravenclaw and showed an 8-gun loadout he already had.
