I like it, and the rings are pretty cool, but they're a little... wide. Maybe squish 'em in a bit if you can. Make them a lot less wide and have them stick closer to the body of the ship. Also, the engine doesn't look very Bretonian capital style to me. The Bret BS has one really large engine, but this one looks like it has a bunch of small ones. Maybe reform it into one large one and some smaller ones around it, perhaps?

I do like the ship concept and the model, though. It looks really nice! Keep up the good work!

Retired, permanently.

Love the idea of Bretonia having some variety to their capfleet, but much as I love the ring idea, I realy dont think it fits into the Bretonian look and feel of things...
Sorry to say that, but I mean... meh... I realy dont think it'd fit in, even though its a lovely looking idea.

' Wrote:Right. I like the model. The textures look a bit odd but I have no idea why.

The ring should be small. Perhaps turn it into an oval that fits closer to the main chassis,
And to those that say it doesn't fit with the current Bretonian line.

Pay heed to the word "current." Ship designs change. The current Bretonian designs have been around for quite a few years. They will at some point be changed. They have to be.

Designs are slow and subtle, not a sharp turn to port. This is radical in the extreme in my book and I just don't see it as "Bretonia esq" as it were, those rings just seem to add a massive load of bulk that equal out to easy to target.

The most radical ship design a stealth carrier/cruiser/thing that isn't even afloat yet and is something of a hydro-foil base with minimal drag. I highly doubt Bretonia has the spare resources for a new battleship especially in .85.

' Wrote:Do we still use ships that were created in the 1930's?

Several Liberty class cargo ships were used all the way up to the 1990's. We have an Iowa class battleship on the active service roster for the military, and we have B55's and C-130's that are refitted constantly. Also like the Abrams MBT, the structure is reusable and upgradeable and is projected to remain on active service rosters till around 2030 or so.

Other then that, bleeping awesome.

That's weird, because it's just a Bretonia BS with a giant ring around it.

I'm sorry to say, but horribly uninspired work. No thanks.

I just had an idea, if that ring were an oval so closer to the main hull, and a lot larger height wise (Still alot closer to the main ship), it could contain multiple bee-hive like bays for fighters...
Maybe?

For 11.5k polys, I don't see a lot of detail on this model...

The windows on the ship are far too big for it to be a battleship sized ship.

There are several texture mapping issues, the back of the ship doesn't even look textured at all.

Design is somewhat reminicent of the Bretonian style, but you need to comit more research into their designs and use reference when constructing the ship in order to get it right. Don't go from memory when you're trying to match a style.

That would be because it's a work in progress? That's the reason this was posted here not ship submissions. I think I made all of this clear on page one?

Nice to see that people are taking the time out of there day to brainstorm ideas for Bretonian ships. Keep up the good work mate, and hopefully we'll one day see this ship in game, in one form or another.

Let it burn.
