Ive seen some of the larger mining transports get like 4 and 6
where as i have seen some of the mining fighters get up to 14 on a constant.
What factor determines this ?

What Spazzy said plus: The ID/IFF you carry must be valid for the commodity you are mining, must match (except for "Miner" ID which works with any IFF), and the mining bonus must be active for the specific commodity. [Edit] I do wonder though. The Wiki states that the larger transport mining turret should get a bigger bonus drop, hinting at a difference between fighter and transport turret. Wonder if the difference is reversed somehow.
