Now after some 30mins of fighting I was told that I was lagging and the battle ended with everyone departing.
Problem is:
- I have never seen any of the enemies lag during the fight... one of them even got a few razor hits to my shield and one on my hull.
- I never got any yellow/red lag sign
- I logged off and send 40pings on the server results: min: 50 max: 62, average: 53
------------------------------ Question:
How can I see that I'm lagging, I always thought it works both ways?
Note: it was the BS that said it (and I know who was the pilot yes). One of the fighters only said that he would have hit me cause he's a good aimer... ehm.. he was in a Falcata and I was in a Chimaera.
Using thruster key in short burts produces very much the same jumping effect as lag.
Igiss says: Martin, you give them a finger, they bite off your arm.
1. Sigma 13 is a very laggy system... Usually fights with more then 5 people in there will either cause net lag or FPS lag.
2. If a Falcata managed to hit your Chimera, then the battleship was lagging, not you...
Also, it's true... Using your Thruster like that can make it seem like you're lagging, but it's just the ship moving back and forth.
Yeah, lag works like if you were tapping your thruster, but at random intervals and chaoticly. I don't think it'd be possible to simulate it without actual lag. It was probably because of the system. Its one of the reasons I hate flying in Sig-13 in a fighter, because the background and nebulas give ALOT of FPS lag as DBoy said. If you had 40 ping, you weren't lagging. I usually have about 100-140 ping and I don't lag. Lag is usually when you have 180+ ping, or your internet connection takes a dump.
