every now and then, i meet people that have little idea of what a certain faction is about. that is sometimes due to little interest in reading the infocard, and sometimes just cause they have never dealt with that faction before, or that faction hasn t troubled their minds at all.

furthermore, NPC factions - or how they are seen develops on disco - and is not really totally identical to how they are in the original SP storyline. - maybe it is possible that people write about their main faction - how they see it .. so that new players or others can use it as a referrence.

this is not meant to be a threat where one faction has to discuss about their self understanding, but only a description. - and it should be simple, like :

name: bounty hunters guild
status: lawful / <strike>unlawful </strike>
function: law enforcer / <strike>merchant </strike>/ <strike>pirate </strike>/ <strike>freelancing</strike>
space of influence : all around / <strike>system: X, Y, Z</strike> / <strike>just the spacestations</strike> / <strike>none</strike>
allies: house police, house navy, all lawful
neutrals: all but unlawful
specials: contracts on allmost every zoner freeport
cause: nomad studies, villain extinction

this is just an example - and it should not be posted in this threat - but maybe someone can come up with a simple enough info structure - so that people don t come up with stuff like :

- zoners hate BHG ( funny how the bhg sits on every freeport then )
- zoners are unlawful ( in fact, they are neither lawful nor unlawful, cause they are not one faction )

sorry, only zoner stuff here, cause thats what i am confronted with all the time - but i am sure there are other funny opinions around about npc factions. - and i haven t seen a good reference guide to NPC factions that is really objective and uses only the facts that we have - maybe a bit of rumors, too.

Wow, that's a real good site, Dreygon... I forgot how few factions had such sprawling alliances in vanilla. Nice find!

That is a nice site, helps out, but...

is there really a faction called "monkeys" lol, that's just there as a joke, right? And the planet is "planet primus", haha.

...
You've never gone Nova shopping, have you?

On an unrelated note, that site is nice until you try to load their homepage. The mass of Java on that page absolutely killed my computer.
