RM seems to be a bad offender of the lazy cop. Ordering everyone to planet New Berlin to be scanned instead of patrolling, then attacking if you dont show up. On this other topic, I do believe that pirates should be allowed to use up to a cruiser. A BS is a bit too large, but a cruiser is completely logical. You didnt see Blackbeard in a rowboat with a musket.

and you think,what happend,when 3 pirates make group with 3 cruiser? that a little too much powerfull for taxing i think.then traders neet escort of battlehsips.and that is not good.actually i think that gb must stay as max.class of ship that you can use to taxing.

Not to speak about the hordes of generic pirates, going all around Sirius shooting stuff.
And then one more rule should be changed.
Taxing for cruisers.
No way.
If you want to tax, get a fighter escort.
Cruiser is there to make sure Trader's escort (yeah, like anyone uses this) don't make troubles.

So from what i red in the lines and betwene the lines, are that THE "NY LP washouts" will treat a player they cant catch or "know" has earlier smuggled by shooting him/her first time they see that player.
Now that is not RP that is Dictatorship.
Now i said it earlier, THIS IS A GAME.
Now get in scanner range confirm smuggling stop the smuggler, if he gets away, to bad keep a eye on him,
Its as simple as that.
Now kill this, and lets enjoy the game.

yeah, i could see it being abused by useing multiple cruisers. Would be pretty easy to get away from ships like that though:), I dout a bs would make a very good escort because of how hard it is to fly.

Well if you guys want specifics on ship roles look at what there discriptions say, Gunboats are for Fighter Interceptions, Cargo inspections, detaining ships, Cruisers and the such are to support the gunboats are overwhelmed, to many fighters lots of pirate capital ships so on, so on.

Battleships are " Supposed " to be the checkmate move, once they roll in its game over, supposed to be. Players often Find ways around this, I.E ill just fly past them dock and they can't hurt me, things like that.

Now personally, If i knew pirates where smuggling in large amounts of contraband, and they didn't stop for gunboats patrols and still headin to there destination, I would put everything possible to stop you.

And If said pirate broke thru patrols, gunboats and every thing else, u bet theres gonna be big guns there to stop you thats just common sense. As for pirate escorts for smugglers, its counter productive don't ya think?

I mean smugglers are supposed to be sneaky...sly not use trade lanes to get to there destinations, ill admit ive smuggeled from Malta to New york and im in an ADV Train, escorts shouldn't be included.

I think I do:DIf someone does not stop, you catch up with him and fine him for disobeying orders, even if the person isnt carrying contraband.

Inspections in Rheiland... Its ok to run an inspection from time to time when you suspect high criminal activity, but often use of inspections would delay traders and threat Rheilands profits.

Its like about marijuana in some countries... They spend so much money on trying to prevent it, that it even isnt worth it:D
