where can i find info on what type of guns go on what type of ship ,can i put any gun on any ship or is there a hole bunch of rules controlling that aspect, thanks in advance.im interested in turrets mostly for a shire.

Try here. You can put on Shire any fighter turret (class 1-5) and Transport turrets (class 7).

Keep in mind while selecting turrets, that you must be allowed to use the turrets. All transport guns are civilian - so no issues there, but the class 1 to class 5 turrets often belong to specific factions. On a Shire though, I wouldn't recommend using type 5 turrets - the ship is so long, the aft turrets would barely come into range of the bow.
