I go with a Smuggler ID as opposed to trader. It's zestier. But umm... I suppose Freelancer really is the best choice if you aren't exploring for anybody in particular. So yeah, Spatial all the way. It's gynormous and the wing looks really weird at first, but its cool anyways. It's 4 mill at Battleship Hood in Dublin.

a roleplaying ID would be

zoner: they live in the borderworlds anyway and are bound to explore some
freelancer: free to go wherever they like - allways searching for new opportunities
smuggler: not particularly exploring in the common sense, but surely that class is looking for hidden shortcuts, jumpholes and ways alternativly to the common routes
IMG: allways looking for resources to claim
GMG: see IMG
miner: see IMG, but independent
I would not do GMG. Corsairs are in the border worlds. GMG in or near sair space = death.
