I'd always assumed the BHG ID was, for RP terms, a neutral ID, restricted from allying with, or performing anything/anyone unlawful.
In that the ID itself didn't make the player a lawful, as many Bounty Hunters will use means of apprehension that a lawman couldn't, thus the need for them.
So...I looked.
Nowhere did it say whether the Bounty Hunter's Guild (NOT Core) ID was, by nature, lawful or neutral...
I'm trying for a character whose inclination and work is lawful, but isnt afraid to do downright nasty 'immoral' things to get the job done.
Is his 'morality' then in conflict with the BHG ID's 'lawfulness'?
Mmmm... nah. BHG isn't generally afraid to do 'immoral' things, either. They fight on the side of the law, generally, but it's not always because it's the right thing to do. I wouldn't call them absolutely 'lawful'.
So as long as your actions don't explicitly go against what it says on the ID, go for it.
Quote: Cannot participate in any unlawful actions.
So....
However, I had a character with a similar RP. I simply used 2 ships, a manta with BHG id, and an eagle with freelancer id, for less "clean operations". Fairly simple.
