Subject: Alaska incident
Greetings,
I just received a report about the Destruction of our temporary research vessel. If all the details in this are true, what i assume without a doubt, i have to say that I am most disappointed about the way the Navy seems to solve Problems. We did a mistake by sending our research vessel without Permission to Alaska that is out of the question of course. It also might have been looking a bit strange for a research vessel, but the heavy armament was necessary for its mission.I would not even complain about this if your agents would have destroyed it on sight for i guess its their right within the restricted area.
But to start a sort of Play with it and the People onboard is unacceptable.
I am talking about the hypocritical offer just to leave the system that was given by one of your Officers:
Our Captain told the Officer that the task would be done within an Hour and he would leave the System then.
The answer was no and the "advise" he should leave at once. Our Captain agreed and estimated that it would take the ship about 10 minutes until it would reach Omicron Minor. He was given 10 seconds. This is not a Joke. Of course this time was not even enough to power up the cruise engines and so it was destroyed after the 10 seconds countdown.
Feel free to give us an explanation on this or just go on with your business, but do not expect to be welcome by any of our Members anymore.
This is captain Virgil Redline, better known as 'the hypocite'. I was the one who asked your captain to get that obese thing out of restricted space.
Let me tell you why things went the way they went. First off, the ship in question was a capital class warship, armed to the teeth. You can call it a research vessel, as can I call my Dreadnought an icecream van. Fact remains, it is what it is.
Secondly, Alaska is horribly, very super hyper off limits for all ships but Liberty Navy and the LSF. This includes Zoners. We have enough trouble in that sector without Zoner warships running around poking their noses where they do not belong. God forbid they get infected by the resident homocidal alien population.
Thirdly, the captain in question didn't exactly say much. His ship was sitting still, even after more and more navy ships showed up. Also, tellling us you will leave in 1 hour hardly means that you can invite yourself to remain in restricted space for 1 hour. If I were to walz in Omicron 74 in a carrier and sit there telling all Zoners to leave me alone for another hour, would they?
As for the warning. I gave 10 seconds for the ship to start moving. AFTER I had asked it to leave earlier. It didn't. I didn't order it to reach the jumphole in 10 seconds like you suggest. Even Pizza Delivery can't go that fast, let alone a Juggernaut. I asked it to start moving away and it didn't.
So we made it leave the hard way. It's a shame things went down like they did. But do NOT enter restricted space and ask for leniency just because you think you have a right to be there. Because you don't.
As i already said it was a mistake we sent the Ship there and the Problem is not the fact it has been destroyed but the way it has been done.
There is a big Difference between the Report i have from our Captain and yours. According to what i have heard our "Juggernaut", as you call it, was charging its cruise engines but the given time has not been enough and someone ordered to open fire. But the time the first shot was made it already was acclerating up to cruise speed. Our Captain then chose to cut the engines again in order to defend the ship and regain energy.
So, from my point of view, i believe the Navy wanted to shoot our vessel down for i dont think our captain did anything threatening towards your Officers and in fact wanted to leave the system.
At the risk of being rude, I'd have to say that your captain is lying. The ship was not moving an inch. Had it been charging its engines, I would have seen it move.
Anyway, We can throw arguments over all day. But, as it stands, your ship violated higly restricted space and did not comply to Navy instructions (soon enough).
We don't take pleasure in blowing up ships (except pirates and Rheinwehr, but thats just me) so please make sure we don't have to do so again.
