Greetings, Sirs and Ma'ams.
The anonymous sender is "A-55" a drone working for Corsairs and anybody who might pay, and who shot an IMG pilot directly next to Hood. This is its lousy attempt to scare me into not acting against it. You understand that the Guild cannot be blackmailed by a robot who has taken some pictures that are easy to explain and harmless in nature.
Legally, I question the validity of "evidence" sent anonymously by a machine whose controller is unknown and whose motives will remain unknown. If taken to a court, lawyers will rip that evidence into pieces.
But that's not the point because I would like you to see this material as exactly what it is: A way of getting information from undisputed experts on the troubling Nomad Activities without getting into trouble with Bretonian Authorities again.
The last incident in which we were falsely "accused" of having invited the Order (see report #4 here), but in which we met an Order Wing by chance and discussed the safety issues, should not be repeated.
As a consequence it was decided that meetings to obtain more informattion about the more and more frequent Nomad activities in the Hood vicinity could not take place in Bretonia. After a gunboat-destroyer sized vessel (we had never seen this type before) was spotted and after it was engaged successfully by an IMG bomber wing, I felt that a new dimension of Nomad activity had been reached. So I contacted the Order pilot that was around Dublin, to - as the "evidence shows" - get information about how I could contact them. I also told him not to meet in Bretonia in order to avoid further trouble.
As mentioned already in the last incident, there were attempts to obtain such knowledge from Bretonian Agencies, but they proved fruitless (our operatives were threatened, given gag-orders and had their nav-logs wiped. I was threatened with arrest if I further investigated). I did not screen the actual event, but I give you just one line to show you, why I didn't ask IAB agents again:
What you see is a way of gathering information vital to our safety, while I tried to stay clear of further diplomatic issues which neither Bretonian Authorities nor IMG can use at the moment.
It's nothing more. Nothing less.
Best regards,
Jack Henderson - Dublin Operations Coordinator

The Independent Miners Guild has been on thin ice, lately.
Do you know what that means, Mister Henderson? That means not to defy the Crown by inviting terrorists to deal with our own problems. Instead you contact this Agency.
What is it with you civilians? Honestly? Do you enjoy pissing off a sovereign house? It was because of these small reasons that Admiral Ralston decided to place these orders on your ships a couple weeks back. It was also in my best opinion to keep my agency out of the cross fire and to continue our normal operations. Now, Admiral Ralston and I go back long ways. We also share many of the same view points when it comes to people attempting to take a piss on the Queen's crown.
You can see where this is heading, I'm sure, and frankly, I'm tired of playing the good guy here. The Investigation into Mister Adam Patterson will be put on hold. His actions, as far as I'm concerned now, have been justified. The actions of the IMG, on the other hand, have not. Inviting known terrorists into Bretonian space, allowing Hogosha to operate out of the Hood. Not providing any actual defense for Dublin and letting it run rampant of piracy plagues because your largest rival just happens to be in the same system.
Want to continue your operations in Dublin, Mister Henderson? I strongly suggest taking a different route then the one you're currently heading on. As for Operative Executioner, he and I will be having a little chat.
I've about had it with this nonsense in this damn system. It's going to end one way or another. I frankly don't care which at this point.
Signed,
Director Regis Lawson Home Office of Military Intelligence

Dear Director Regis Lawson,
to answer your question: I very much want to continue the operations in Dublin.
Consequently, I hereby formally request the services of the IAB in the defence efforts of IMG assets against the increasing Nomad activities near Hood, centering towards Chester Jumphole.
I am primarily interested in the security of IMG assets in Dublin and I don't like the way this is going, as much as you don't like it. The contact with the Order has ceased, dated now, and will not be restored.
Your decision regarding Mr. Patterson is regrettable, yet I'm confident it will be short-lived because he seeks trouble on a daily basis. As already in practise, we will only defend ourselves against his violent attacks and evict him from the IMG Zone of Influence where BMM should not travel (as we don't go to Graves).
I accept that my actions might seem not very straight forward. Perhaps they haven't been that. I'm trying to steer a ship in the chaos of Dublin with hundreds of influencial factors. It's almost obvious that I'd hit somebody, sooner or later. I guess it was you that was hit twice now.
Apologies for the inconvenience caused, I will try harder.
Having admitted some mistakes and having corrected them, I still have to contradict you in two counts:
1. Accusation about support for Hogosha
The IMG in Dublin does not and has never supported Hogosha operations in Dublin. We actively keep them from landing in Bretonian space and Edict 61 is in full effect. You can blame me for many mistakes but implicitly telling me I'm a traitor to Bretonia by assisting Hogosha is too much to accept, even given my situation just now.
Let me quote the important line from IMG Edict 61:
"We must respectfully request Bretonian vessels to maintain this distance from our bases in the Tau region, and Kusari vessels to maintain this distance from our bases on the Bretonian side of the border. Recent incidents around Battleship Hood force us to clarify this policy. The Independant Miners Guild wishes to remain neutral in the regrettable conflict between the houses of Kusari and Bretonia." - Edict 61
This Edict has been enforced on numerous occasions. We have shot Hogoshas who acted against it. We have escorted Hogoshas out of the system together with BAF forces, there are numerous counts to prove our active endeavour to enforce Edict 61.
Of course it is not 100 % possible to identify every Kusari Freelancer or disguised civilian who sneaks past the automatic docking procedures but in this point I can honestly assure you that we are doing our best. Sir, you may not believe this, but my heart beats for Bretonia.
2. Not providing Security in Dublin
This is not true, Sir, and you know it, hopefully. Yes, we do not attack Kusari and Mollys, but our kill statistics of independant pirates and Corsairs is large and can't be explained away. You will find IMG fighters in any large scale engagement and if you care to ask Bretonian Armed Forces Pilots on who they relay when things get messy, you will be told that it is us.
Hood receives statistically 4 wounded pilots and damaged / destroyed IMG ships per day, all resulting from active defencive measures against threats against Bretonia. The average kill ratio is about 4-6 enemies per day, and thus out contribution is not neglectable.
Having given my statement on these two issues, I'd like to stress that I want to see the relations calm down and I'd like to see some trust restored. The skirmishes triggered last Saturday were hopefully the lowest point in the Guild's relations in Dublin.
I'll work hard to reestablish stable relations, and I'd hope for the required assistance of the IAB in the Nomad activities that not only threaten IMG assets.
Best regards,
Jack Henderson - Dublin Operations Coordinator

Gentlemen,
First off, mr Lawson, I must admit I find your interest in the Guild's activities in Dublin a bit confusing. While you have a massive war on your hand, Bretonian intelligence assets seem more interested with the goings-on around Hood then they do on gathering military intelligence to give your forces an edge in Leeds, and other frontline areas. Granted, the alien lifeforms that are by now frequent occurrances around Hood (yes, we -are- aware of their presence and have instructed our forces to avoid contact where possible - those things knocking on Hood's door forces such contact however). But the matter of Patterson really seems more something the Constabulary should handle. It is after all, just a civilian being agressive to other civilians. Or is Patterson some kind of military asset in a way which we are not aware of?
Hogosha are included in Edict 63, in regards to the terms of neutrality between Bretonia and Kusari. They are to remain 10 K distance from Hood or be removed forcefully like any Kusari forces loitering in the Hood perimiter. Their overt cooperation with the Corsairs makes them an unwelcome element regardless of the war. Unfortunately we do not always have the standing forces to enforce this, however.
To the matter of "inviting" Order forces... as we have already explained, they were in Dublin when our patrol found them. As civilians we don't tend to shoot people on sight, at least not folk who are not a confirmed threat to our operations. Border security is not the IMG's perogative, so blaming us for what is basically your own failure does not look good on you.
That said, mr Henderson, I do encourage you to be more cooperative with the Armed Forces. Inform them of unusual sightings, such as Nomad, Kusari or Order forces, so they can deal with them. This will free up yourself and other Guild patrol assets for securing our mining operations. The Order are not our concern, and their presence in Dublin can only lead to a further destabilization of the situation there. Kusari in Dublin are much the same way, just trouble, and a good ways from the frontlines at that.
As to this AI: Deal with it as you would with any troublesome machine: Scrap it. No sense in wasting too much time and effort on something that isn't even alive.
Kind regards,
- Johnathan Sanders
