I'd love to keep mining, but the rest of Kruger| seems to have gone into a depressive slump because things changed with mining. I think it's a bit pathetic, really... but I don't really have anyone to mine with now.

And I can't easily mine alone anymore, now that F1ing tends to drag you out of the plane about 40K.

So my mining ships are collecting dust for a bit, but my interest in mining hasn't waned.
If you position your ships immediately prior to the F1 action there is no displacement. I get the impression though that if you leave your ship in space, it gets further away from where you left it each time you log in to that account without choosing that particular char. If that makes sense.

Dresden sucks big time

I only had a Basalt, and I don't want to be ejecting my cargo for every twenty units. They say that mining is supposed to be a group activity, but now they've just made it even harder for that to take place.

I haven't sold the Basalt yet though. I guess I'll see if there are any more changes.

[17:45:39] Wolfs Ghost (Murphy): Tom, you have problems. Go kill yourself.
[19:25:12] Johnny (Jam): Tomtom, I will beat you with a spoon.
[14:22:56] Prarabdh Thakur: KILL HIM WITH A SHEEP.
[17:40:48] Eagle (Junes): Tom should be slapped with a spoon.
[11:32:18] Warspite: Thank you for being so awesome Tom. <3
[18:17:36] Metano: I love you tomtom
[20:06:24] Warspite: I will seriously give you epic head.

I haven't sold any of my ships. I only have one hegemon, my sallie and one CSF that mine. I won't sell any of them as they do have other RP uses besides mining. However, I agree with others here. Small mining fighters have lost their purpose and if that problem isn't fixed, group mining will become non-existent.

With all that said though, I do believe Cannon has done some brilliant work with the changing of the mining mod. Even I can admit that I jumped the gun far too quickly when the mod was first turned off. Kudos to you Cannon. Just please fix the fighter mining problem and maybe give us a little bit of information on how quickly fields regenerate and if there are any solutions in the pipeline for those.

Thank you for all your hard work.

Ye. I did it.
The best thing is that I scrapped it a way before all that mess happened, and that miner wasn't mine, it was my sister's. She leaved, and I though she won't use it anymore... I thought wrong...

I sold my CSF but I still have my hauler, which I now power-trade with.

I might try out an ALG char and start out on a Behemoth once the dust settles. If the drop rate is abyssmal (the factor I'm most concerned with) and I have to constantly travel to the next patch of scrap, I'll just sell it.

This rationale behind altering mining is pretty obvious - to get players trading more. I enjoyed the old scrap mining mojo, but it looks like too many folks were making money too fast and mining / hauling OORPishly. And fast money means capships, that cause widespread panic and anxiety in many of the playerbase.

@Zelot and other like-minded players: It ain't a sin to want to maximize profits. In fact, you could say it's even a part of a character's RP to actually want to make a pile of cash.

I like the new mining actually.

Nope, I haven't used it in a while, but that's cuz I was busy.

I never mined for cash either way, I prefer lazy trading 8-||

Yes I scrapped my Polwart character about 2 weeks after the mining mod was first introduced.

My miner got wiped about 2 days before the mining mod was put off.
So I also sold my Shire.
