It is a sad occasion that brings me to your comfortable abode. Three days ago, my cousin's daughter, Samara Funiyomi, was killed in combat with Hogosha thugs in the Hokkaido system. Towards the end of the battle, her shield failed, and debris from a nearby exploding ship ripped a hole in her fighter. The deadly radiation of the Kyofu flooded into her ship moments before she could reactivate her shield. Unfortunately, the radiation dosage was lethal, and she passed away some hours later on Ainu.
This has coincided with some of my own bad luck. My faithful Wasupu, which had done me good service for some years now, was gutted yesterday by a Naval Forces Umibozu. It was barely intact enough to limp back to base. Only a few components can be salvaged, and the rest will be sold for scrap. Before you ask where I got that ship, a contact of ours on Roppongi managed to salvage a few demonstration models for us, which we bought at a handsomely discounted price.
If possible, I would fly one of our noble Katanas; however, my uncle, the tough old fighter he is, still hasn't given up the fight, and so the ship I would inherit is unavailable; and I have no desire to fly one of our Wyrms. Therefore, I would like to take Samara's old Blossom. Samara had no sisters; it would likely be repossessed by yourselves and handed to another Chrysanthemum pilot. On this matter, I have her mother's blessing; she is content that the ship continues to fight the good fight against our corrupt government.
On a separate note, while examining the Goyomai Debris Field, I managed to salvage a few weapons from the wrecked vessels there. I handed them over to the equipment supervisor here on Chanai. {Access: Stock Listing}
From: Office of the Okasan, Ainu Depot Subject: Your Sisters Blossom
Konnichiwa Kenzo,
It saddens me to hear from your loss, you have our condolence.
I would like to thank you for the weapons your brought us, they will be used to work on a new generation of our own weaponry. Regardless of this, you will have to return your ship to our shipyard, as soon as possible. It will be repaired and customized to your own needs. However, once you inherit your uncles ship, you will have to return the Blossom, so that we are able to give it to a new pilot.
The time has come for me to take up my family's sword with the Rising Sons. My uncle has died in glorious battle against the Corsairs in the Crow Nebula, and so our rebuilt Katana has been entrusted to me. I now return this Blossom to you in the good faith that it was given. Your ship has served me well.
I have left the ship's access pass in the hands of a capable Chrysanthemum. It still bears the blades of light and blood fashioned by my brothers-in-arms.
Ainu Depot and the Golden Chrysanthemum has received your message!
I am sorry to hear of your uncles passing, I shall light incense in his honour tonight.
We thank you for returning our Blossom, many who were granted the same gift have not, and ran away with them like spoiled children!
I hope to hear from you again in the future, Sukenari-san, and may the light of Amaterasu shine on you!
