' Wrote:Another flaw is - in space where is vacuum, you shouldn't be losing speed, unless there are some particles to create friction and eventually slow you down, but ingame you lose speed pretty fast, almost like there's air! Oh and did I mention we hear sounds in vacuum! How cool is that?
Vacuum is only theorical state. In fact, space isn't empty. It has space dust, dark matter etc. (don't know such names in English =/)
Well, I sometimes entertain myself as to what would happen if the systems, sized as they were, started moving just like Newton explained, following all the laws of movement, action and reaction. You would not believe how messed up it would be if Manhattan started spinning around NY at a speed of 23k/sec. Basically sized like this, planets would crash into jumpholes, bases would be smashed aside, etc etc...
But to topic: I NEVER mention travel time in RP. It makes no sense to RP pant to someone "oh gee this 15 min trip from the other end of the sector really wore me out", and it's also a bit stupid to say "oh man this three hour trips are KILLING me" when you've been away for 10 minutes. Just doesn't make sense.
Sucks to be a weight on the wrong side of the brilliance-insanity scale.
