I concur. The Spyglass has more turrets and if you know what you are doing you can beat a LD in it. Though I cannot deny it is difficult, it is possible. In fact it is done, many times.

No offence to those dreads then.... but.

THEY SUCK

A Liberty Dread 1 Vs. 1 Can take out anything.

The problem is when there is another ship to CD the dread in the event that the larger battleship attempts to cruise closer.
