In light of recent events, the [LN] High Command thought it would be prudent to create a new out-of-roleplay constitution. This was done in order to help protect the faction as a whole, and hopefully guarantee better leadership. Be the leaders a new high command or a highly experienced one, the potential for mistakes, poor judgement and occasionally less than morally correct actions is always present.

The google document below is a draft of this constitution.

The Liberty Navy Constitution

At this point, I have to stress that as this is a Liberty Navy matter, we would primarily like to hear feedback from our members. This post on the forum is simply to place it in a public area for easy viewing by our member base.

If you are a member of the Liberty Navy and see some issues, or want to raise some questions about this document, don't hesitate to contact any member of the High Command about it.

This document is not final nor in force at the moment. We want feedback from Liberty Navy members and will likely put it to some kind of wider vote before it comes into force.

Just a reminder to [LN] members. If you have any feedback on this, either PM it to me or any other high command member, or post it here.

We will be implementing this soon, and would really appreciate any feedback, negative or positive you have on it. We do need your input on this, as your suggestions and ideas will helpus to improve on this document.

I've mixed feelings about receiving no feedback at all (from the member-base), but the lack of negative feedback is at least encouraging.

Therefore, this Constitution draft is now coming into force.

It will still be put to a vote, but after it's been in force for a while. That way, you, the members, can see whether it has had a positive or negative affect on the faction and your experiences within it.

I think the constitution looks great. What it outlines will benefit the faction in many ways, and will probably help boost teamwork and cooperation in the faction.

I think the implementation of this Constitution is GOOD.

Just my two credits.

Current characters:
[LN]-Mark.Lin - Liberty Navy Ensign (Guardian Very Heavy Fighter)
VistaSoldier - Freelancer (Hegemon Mining Transport) (Mining for IMG, Entrance Permit to Gallia)
Shocking - Outcast (Falcata Bomber)
Da.Real.Boss - Independent Pirate (Saishi Civilian Fighter)

Thankyou for giving your preliminary verdict on the condition of the Constitution. It's good to know that it only takes one draft version to cover most of the bases, but if you go back to it one day and wonder about something, such as a potential loophole, don't hesitate to make yourself heard.

As for the affects of the Constitution coming into force, I doubt there will be any immediate changes, as most were already made in the spirit of it. Issues such as Gold Wing recruitment and the repositioning of current ranks have already been addressed, though the former is going slower than I'd like (even though it's not my responsibility anymore, this still causes me to heat the branding iron).

In fact, the only changes that anyone is likely to see in the immediate future is the enforcement of the rights and responsibilities of members. Most other additions affect the longer term, to make sure that the sequence of events that happened previously are not repeated.

This is just a heads-up for anyone who expects serious and significant short-term changes, though if you are one of these, please tell us what caused you to believe that there would be. We might have missed something; after all, we are human too.

While I know this is a couple of years old, I'd just like to say that I completely agree with and support the guidelines and ideas outlined in the "Constitution" and that I'll do my best to follow it, and to encourage the rest of you in this faction to do the same as well.
