1.) How do you rename your ship?

2.) These red X's on the map that are ship wrecks, how do you get stuff out of them? Just shoot them?

To rename you need to use the /renameme command in system chat, so if you want to call your ship Fred you just type in /renameme Fred, you will be kicked from the server, just log on again and your new name will be in effect.
Shoot the wrecks and tractor in the loot, simple as can be but once you've done it the wrecks won't respawn until the next server restart.

Yes, somewhere around 8am ish. Also, take note, that the renameme comamand costs 2mil credits.

last time I saw it was exactly at 8:30 AM (GMT), maybe was just a coincidence.

If you rename yourself to the name of the ship i guess people write their names when speaking before they say something IC right? or does the game do that for you?

If you mean something like

"Water.Sprite": Smith: Hey there!

Yes, "Smith:" is written EVERYTIME by the player, there is no function for that.

If you rename yourself to the name of the ship i guess people write their names when speaking before they say something IC right? or does the game do that for you?

The game does it for you but some players take advantage of the in game chat command to have their character name written out every time they speak, this is done using the /setinfo command.

Alright thanks alot guys for the replies, think thats clears it all up.

Ill only set my name to a ship name if i have to for a faction or something. I'd prefer to just announce my ships name when i speak or something like "This is Drace.Drennen of the _____"

One last thing though, so if i say loose my ship to a bug or something or have to give my ships name over to the admin it would just be Drace.Drennen?

Yes, if you have problems and need admin help then you need to give them the ship/character name, so Drace.Drennen would be the name you quote.
