Yesterday I could follow on my pretty neutral char some actions by some corsair chars.
Then I read some RP related posts about this.
So my thinking on this is screw it - my RP reasons:
Bering like Hudson are very tight zones of war, not to mention that any faction three sectors up or down are hostile.
Also I do not like 'untouchable' players with barges hanging in front of a FP - just to make my position clear.
Corsairs do not do any deals in Liberty nor around.
And i do not like like wannabe Zoners in Bages neithers.
Well, the freeport NFZ has changed - most freeports now only respect an NFZ that relates to Zoners - which means, while within a freeport zone, you cannot shoot zoners, but feel free to shoot each other.
As for Corsairs - Official factions will often restrict them selves to specific zones of control - indies however go where ever they please. dont be surprised to find anyone, at any place, at any time.
Bering & Hudson are warzones yes, which means that Liberty\Rheinland shipping is free game for either side. Everyone else should be able to move through freely, but should expect a bit of questions about who they are, where their going, why they are going there, and what theyre hauling, and where that cargo is going.

I met the player in question too, and the Corsair IFF's likely a malfunction, given that the guy was seen blasting OC NPCs near the Texas gate in that long freighter most people use as their initial one before moving on to bigger and better ones.
Don't remember the name, but I think it's sold on Pittsburg. Think it starts with a 'C'.
