Konbanwa brethren of the galactic north, we had thought your recent work had all but put a stop to threat of nomad incursion: we were complacent to believe so.
Jiro Toshiwa, who we believe is One of your own, was spotted in the Shikoku system bearing alien technology.
We can only deduce that either the pilot has fallen to infection, or has been corrupted by The Order. Neither scenario is acceptable.
The following was recorded:
Quote:113th|Jiro.Toshiwa: Hai... There was an assigment that had to be done...
113th|Jiro.Toshiwa: Gomene... I didnt mean to use private comms...
[KNF]Ca.Urabe.Kosetsu: oh? really? next time better don't leave your post officer. We don't require help of north wing in core space.
113th|Jiro.Toshiwa: As you say sir... I was merely doing as i was told...
Is this an alien message that mocks the Hanta Isejin?
If it is true that you have lost this pilot to the nomads then they truly mock us both, with their presence in core space and their implication of your wing.
Of course we know that their claims are false, and that you could not have sent them: they either sought to throw suspicion on the Hanta Isejin, or reference your failure to catch them as some kind of twisted humour.
We require that you find and execute this pilot.
We would hate to have to divert more forces to assist in your defence of Tohoku.

It is with a heavy heart that we admit the pilot Jiro Toshiwa did not report after our last engagement with the insidious influence on our northern border. We presumed his ship among the few lost, though the battlefield reports were inconclusive. For two days he has been considered KIA. Now, we only regret that it is not so.
The pilot formerly called Jiro Toshiwa, no longer deserving of that name, the creature that masquerades as an officer of the Hanta Iseijin will be found and arraigned. His belly will be cut in the traditional manner, by a hand on his, so that the infection may spill from him. His head will then be separated from his body to conclude his passing. In this manner honour may be returned to his family, the Hanta Iseijin.
A recording of this event will be at your disposal exactly twenty minutes after he is in custody.
We are not soft in the north. We know our duty. That said, we would appreciate any further intelligence on suspected rogue agents. If there is one there may be others. We must be vigilant.
Further to your suggestion of military support in Tohoku; despite the increasing presence of Order terrorists on our borders we have the situation well in hand.
With the greatest of respect,
S. Shirahata

We trust this message finds you in good health. Attached is the promised file.

Yes.
Recording begins.
A young man in a Kusari Naval Forces flight suit knelt on the floor of a docking bay, presumably on the Arch.
The camera zoomed on the man, catching an upwards glance from the terribly bruised face.
The frame froze.
Name: Jiro Toshiwa
Last Known Occupation: Recon Patrol, 113th Hanta Iseijin
Information appeared by his head, detailed and scrolling.
The camera cut to live action, with Jiro thrashing, wrenching the arms tied behind his back.
Tears and blood shone on his cheeks under the harsh lights.
An officer strode into shot, bearing in his hand a tanto with a plain black lacquer sheath and hilt.
Jiro rolled and stretched, and tried to kick, but the grasping hands of Hanta Iseijin officers held him, set him upright in his kneeling position.
The officer with the tanto unsheathed the blade and knelt behind Jiro. The hilt was pressed into Jiro's hand and then forced inexorably into his stomach.
It appeared the Hanta Iseijin had used high quality recording equipment because the screams were captured perfectly, without any distortion.
The tanto dragged a straight line horizontally across his belly, before it was drawn out.
Something blue and of an indeterminate shape slid from the wound and sunk into the pile of intestines that preceded it on the route to the floor.
The officer with the tanto rose to his feet, cleaned the blade with a patterned silk cloth and stood back.
An officer with a bared katana stepped forward and the screams were replaced with a somber quiet.
In formed ranks stood behind the corpse, the Hanta Iseijin officers bowed deeply to the camera.
Shirahata, we thank you for your information and quick action on this matter.
We are glad that the Hanta Isejins reach still encompasses both The Order and the Nomads.
It is reprehensible to lose yet another fine officer to infection, Patrols have been informed to be alert for other rogue agents, but we sincerely hope this is the last soul that the nomads take from Kusari.
