Question about the Nephthys, Spatial, and Bombers!

I'm looking at the Nephthys in the readme, and I can't see a reason not to get it, anyone have any reasons?

Also the Spatial seems like a REALLY good Ship, what are it's ups and downs?

My main question is, What ships in this game can mount Class 10 weapons?

Also, What are Bombers exactly? I understand that they have 2 Torpedo mounts, and they seem to only carry a max of 4 guns (other than the BH Bomber), but what else id different about them? Also, What are the Weapon Classes on the Bombers?

Answer: LOTS of ships.. Mostly VHFs and Bombers.

Well.. it looks like you have not done so much PVP yet....

Spatial is a huge target and it's very slow to turn. Any average VHF pilot will kill you without even loosing shields. Bomber pilot will kill you in some 2 passes. But yes it's a very nice exploration ship. It's just not a ship to fight players with.

Also... it's not necessarily best to go for lvl 10 weapons. Some lvl 9s are much better.

Bombers are the only ships (apart from Super Heavy Fighters) that can fire anti-capital ship weaponry: Nova Torpedo and Supernova gun.

They are less agile/maneuverable than VHFs, while they have more armor. An above average VHF pilot can kill a pilot on the same level in a bomber without big problems.

What about the Nephthys? What's good/bad about it? can it mount things higher calss than the Anubis's max class of 6?

it can mount level 10 but its slow to turn and the wings fall off easily.

why don't you try out these ships yourself?
Everyone has it's taste for the VHF and bombers.
Just get the one that fits your RP, or get a ban.

Right now I'm looking at getting the Havoc MkII and Viper MkII.

Are these good ships?
Does anyone have any comments to add?

I have a question: what is your character's story?

Your character should determine the type of ship you want to get. For example, if you are going to be a Bretonnian cop, you would get a Hussar. If you were going to be a border-worlds trader, you'd get a freighter with decent firepower.

For the two choices you explained, the Havoc MkII is the Ageira bomber. Essentially, the LSF and Navy use them.

The Viper MkII is more of a Zoner/IMG ship.

By the way, the basic stats on the ships infocard aren't always the most important. Doesn't matter if a ship has great armor and nanobots... If it turns like a truck, you'll be stuffed in PvP.

(Armor can be a slight indicator of a ship's speed for its class. A low armor VHF can be assumed to be fast)

First off, the Spatial is bigger than many Gunboats, so, way too big. It's only got fighter guns, where my Gaian Gunboat, half its size, could slaughter it. The thing's a real target for bombers, too, not to mention it handles like the cinderblock it is.

The Nepthys, too, is a brick. Not as much of a target, and it does have a decent power source, but anybody in a Light Fighter may be able to carry out the literal Flying-Circles-Around-It movement, not to mention it's more susceptible to missiles than some other fighters...

The Havoc II is a decent ship...but really, it needs to fit your character's Roleplay. That should be your primary concern.
