Preamble
Lets assume you decide for leaving my beloved RolePlay ship in the game,
but without further selling points for us.
So that it becomes even cooler by being a relict of past times.
Main Why do i write to you?
Well, since i don't want the Zephyr to be balanced SOMEHOW just because of the thoughts of a single player,
and since me and Geeky are the most active and most experienced Zephyr pilots, so i think our voices should be heard.
In whose name do i write?
In the name of all those Zephy pilots that have their ship equipped like a carrier and not like a capgank BS.
Thats me, Geeky and some others
(and that will be all Zephy pilots, when the Zephy will only have 2 heavy slots left (judging from what i read from Mjolnir)).
Whats the current situation?
Its the weakest cap, and thats ok, but what the Zehpyr necessarily needs to be at least a little interesting, are those two heavy slots on the outer sides of the big pancake to fire one mortar disregarding of the direction.
Currently (being the most experienced zephy pilot i can say that) you can achieve a draw against a Dreaddy, IF (and only if) the pilot of the Dreaddy is tactically 100% unskilled and alone (if not, you are boned).
The OC Dreaddie will be better in the next version so there is no need to reduce the Zephy (further).
What do i want?
I want the Zephy to stay the weakest of all carriers and BSes, but i want it to keep at least its few capabilities of fending of Dread pilots with zero tactical skills.
Therefore it shall have its two heavy slots on the side mounts (the outermost ones) of the big pancake section able to fire in the current arc.
What drawbacks would i accept in return?
The Zephyr having several medium class turrets reduced to light class, so that like only 2 medium class remain (maybe 4).
What would be the benefits?
Players still could decide about their tactics,
and would not be forced to a frontal tactics with a CARRIER.
With best regards to you all that read this,
Clyde.
