Blue Solution to the rule of the Forums !
And , onoez this is all off-topic ...
So back on topic,
the rule is here for good, caps attacking Tranports in unfair and unneccessary anyways, so whats the point ?
Pirate Trans, get a bomber as escort, problem solved.
Question, why should traders get special rights on death? Why should they be allowed to cross the same system if they died? I say they get the equal treatment that all other types of players get. You died in California? Well, that's too bad, you'll have to go the long way to get to Bretonia.
<strike>Discuss</strike> QQ at will?
Though of course that would never happen. (Space is Harsh was proposed to do it, but I don't know if it got gunned down or not)
So no, pirates don't get anything over traders. You already probably charge at Gunboats and Fighters with your capital, so don't be that unhappy. Think about how a GB or Fighter feels when he has to put down a CAU8 Dread that engaged him on sight.
But, yes, I would enjoy seeing a cruiser pirate. Would be funny when the traders realise they get instant'd by dual Mortars. Hehehe.

Without said special rights, there would be far less traders for pirates to shoot/rob. As if you kill a trader in specific systems, you can cut them off from any of their routes.
Less traders = less pirates = less police
Who are you going to shoot at when there is no one around?

True that. Though I only ironically suggested it to point that pirates don't get anything more then a trader. Even less at some aspects.

Well, any advantage that traders have over pirates is eclipsed by the fact that traders whine on an average of 1000 times more than pirates do about the system that is in place.
I frown when I demand 1m from an ore hauler, and he shoots at me.
