"Hello my Freelancer friends. I wanted to talk to you about changing my way of life. Some strange happenings have come about, and well, it is safe to say I think i'm finally tired of my life of looting and pillaging. You are the lawmen that I respect the most, serving Rheinland with a passion in your hearts. I wish to reform my criminal ways. Show me how I can do this."
How about not attacking Rheinland forces? Perhaps not attacking but rather surrendering to authorities?
I'm going to sway to my idealist part rather than the realist part and pretend you actually have some intention to follow through with this, and you mean what you say.
I don't even know who you are, where your birth place is or who you and your friends are trying to convince.
Even if you protected us from a Nomad invasion, I can't see how Rheinalnd can sate their anger towards you. The best solution is not to have done it at all, but the reality is you have a shoot on sight order from Rheinalnd.
You want repentance? You want to find some way to make right what you have done? Then what? Once you get bored with helping Rheinland you'll turn your guns back on to the civilian population?
David Owens wasn't impressed with your submitting to this new doctrine you find yourself playacting to now. His ship is still being repaired from your 'surrender.'
But you want to change your way of life? Then change it. Defend Rheinalnd and its ships. Don't ask for praise and thanks. When you are done defending Rheinland ships and house transports, just go away. Don't stick around to talk to explain yourself, just go. Your ship already sounds off system wide alerts the moment you jump into systems and diplomacy is the -last- thing on people's mind when they see you.
This change you're looking for will come with hate, anger, rejection, and near unquenchable doubt. You got a long, difficult road ahead of you if you honestly want to burn the bridges of your past.

"I understand that. That is one reason I am requesting help. I did only what I had to do in my time of need, although killing thousands of innocent civilians isn't what I had planned on. This is why I fear I have gone nearly too far from salvation, but even this devil seeks penance for his crimes. I feel trapped by the Renegades, and this is why I come to the one group who understands us best. Our Arch Rivals, the Freelancers that defend Rheinland."
Putting aside that your comment leads me to believe you require a psychiatrist and perhaps an exorcist I'll say this;
I've sought to see the Hessians, the Bundschuh, the Unioners, and the Landwirtrechtbewegung come back to Rheinland on their own terms and help unify Rheinland once and for all, but not at the cost of a moral core that holds civilized humanity together. I have seen a Hessian commander forsake the hatred he finds toward Rheinland and their house corporation long enough to defend a transport or miner he would normally be more adapt to destroy.
There in lays your redemptive salvation. A choice, a conscience choice, to wake up and say no to yourself and acknowledge others before you.
When that becomes a habitual characteristic of your life, hell, I may even be willing to fight along your side. But this doesn't take days or weeks, but more months than I'm willing to imagine.
How far are you willing to go to prove to everyone, even Rorry, that you no longer fight for him or seek your own glory and stature?
How far are you willing to go for Rheinland?
