Sir, the Templar is aboard, and the deck crew says Zacarias is in it.
Willow rubbed his hands together excitedly. Grand. Order the fleet to fall back to Malta. Ill be in the hangar. He suited his words by striding off the bridge.
Willow stood next to the Chief of the Hangar, the man that oversaw everything that went on here. They were both looking at the Templar that Zac was still sitting in. he had refused to come out, and was now crying again. Willow had seen enough o know that he was crying for Carina, who had obviously died. Willow grimaced. It was his fault that she was there in the first place. Zac kept on hugging the dashboard wait, whats he doing now? Zac was typing into the computer, a look of hope on his face. Now he was laughing. Could it be?

Transferring a computer program even one as sophisticated as Carina, or perhaps especially one as advanced as her from a computer to a human body is no easy task. Computers read information one way; our brains read it in a different way, based on the nitrogenous base pairs of our DNA. Translating Carina to be compatible with the Risurrezione body was something Zacarias had devoted himself to: a program that would do the translation both ways.
The heat the human body gives off destroys the hydrogen bonds that hold DNA together; however, our body repairs that DNA. In the fevered state, it was possible if not probable that the heat destroyed the DNA that was programmed to be Carina, and it was unable to repair itself. However, it was more likely that the hydrogen bonds had been damaged by the heat, and been in the middle of the repair during the transfer. This would result in a damaged program in the Templar, unable to work.
Carina had transferred, but had been damaged and therefore she couldnt turn herself on or control the Templar. Luckily, Zacarias had been so desperate that he had checked. Now it was all he could do to stop the tears of joy and laughter. Quickly running the backup repair program he had been so careful as to create, Carina activated, if a bit disorientated.
Lets get you home, Carina, he said with all the joy, relief, and love he felt.
Thanks, Zac. I love you.
