Ellie started to mess with er computer, finally coercing it into a reboot. As the screen came to life, Mantear could see the background was Rika Hunter sitting on the wing of an Anubis is what appeared to be a Order Uniform that was altered into a shirt and skirt outfit for the now-13 year old. In the girl's hsir was an Eye of Horus hair clip. Ellie double-clicked an icon to the right of the screen, opening up a disgnostics program and that blocked out the picture.
"Computer's should be fine...Whitemane?"
The computer's tiny holopod lit up to reveal the wolf's head.
"Scanner will finish rebooting in five minutes. I have no ideas to why everything crashed."
Ellie nodded, them glanced at Mantear.
"Ma'am, would you like some water?" She inquired, motioning to her water bottle.
As the process begun, Golanski found himself unrespectably in not describable place he would take as some part of mindshare a bit later. Amount of information made no sense to him, not being able to grasp any bit of it turning around with confusion. He couldn't tell how long does it took being it experience completely different from reality as then suddenly it all became normal.
Looking around, everyone similarly confused but back at work. No one noticed he still was in 'shock' after hybridisation took place. He shook his head, finding his rifle is still in hands. As he assessed experiment was possibly a success he approached window to see Miller on the floor. Being used to not trust illusions and cheap tricks this time he believed that event that just happened was very true.
'Whatever was it, it worked... We don't know the results yet...'
"I'll be fine, Miss Hunter", Mantear said. "Just stabilise the specimen and prepare to move it to the Interrogation chamber."
She got up slowly, still recovering her breath.
"Give me fifteen minutes first though...That was an interesting experience. Michal, let's give the doctors some peace to work. I'll have results for you, either way. Just wait."
With that, she took two marines and left the room.
The 'security personal' was reacting. They took Kate with them after the scans had been confirmed by the High Command. For some reason this had to be quick. It wasn't completely sure if Lazarus worked correctly, even if there were the confirmations of her mental state. Nobody could actually completely understand what was going on exactly. As the personal took Kate away, out of the facility, he was wondering. He thought, that there would have been more than just moving in, some fancy effects, and then moving out again. But he just shrugged, thinking it might be the best choice.
Outside the facility, there were three men waiting for something or someone. As the security personal got outside, they headed for the bigger ship, which seemed like it just arrived, also the two Nephthys' nearby.
Freighter Captain Davis: "I think, the route will be safe...at least I hope so. Shouldn't be a bigger problem from here to our destination with your help."
Escort Pilot: "Well...we should be careful anyway. This is still dangerous space and the systems we will pass are mostly undiscovered...yet."
Davis: "I am looking forward not to have any further problems...but you are right...I will keep my eyes open."
The personal, who was carrying Miller, arrived at the freighter and was waiting for the captain to open up the air lock. The two men, that carried her nodded at the freighter captain and the two other escort pilots.
Davis: "Alright...I'll show you where to bring her. I guess that 'experiment inside there was a suceed?"
Security Personal: "I don't know, Sir. There just was a bright light I saw from the outside of the facility. Nothing dangerous, it seemed like..."
Davis sighed and nodded, leading the personal inside the ship, through the air lock. Inside the ship, the security personal went to the room, where Miller should be brought to. The freighter captain opened the door of the room and let the personal carry Kate on the bed that was standing there. Checking her status with one glance a last time, he finally turned away from the unconscious woman and locked the door again manually. Nodding at the two security men, he signalized them, he got everything he had to need and said a few words, before leading them out again. Standing between the air lock and the outside, he signalized the two escort pilots to get into their ships.
With the two Nephthys' infront of the freighter, Davis headed to the docking ring's position after he did last preparations with his ship and lifted off with his two escorts. Exiting the atmosphere, the convoy got into space and the ships initiated activated their cruise engines. With set course to the Omicron Zeta jumphole, the comm channel was always open, in case if there was something wrong. But except for some conversations between the escort pilots and himself, there was nothing really important happening around them. As they reached the jumphole, the three ships entered the jump tunnel and found themselves back in Omicron Zeta some seconds later.
Quickly setting a course to the Omicron Mu jumphole, Davis checked the systems of his ship and his scanner. Nothing. The system was pretty empty, as it seemed like. As they began to increase their speed to cruise speed, the captain of the freighter was able to notice a general emergency call from some Order units. It seemed like yet unidentified ships violated the security parametres. Then another emergency call came in. It was the confirmation of the vessels of the Core. The two escort pilots cursed as they heard the messages, sounding like they would want to be there, to defend their home. But they had a possible more important task to do. Against the decision their mind would had made, the convoy continued it's flight through the system.
And after a long time of flight, they made it to complete one half of the travel through the system. They were now passing the planet Murilo. Slowly the silence seemed to make the pilots nervous a bit. Then, to their surprise, all communication systems and scanning devices, as well the 'radar', were blockaded. They weren't able to do anything when something interupted their cruise flight and made them fly with normal speed as an unidentified projectile hit the three ships with it's resulting shockwave. Suddenly two ships appeared directly infront of them. No signs of what that could be, he saw the two ships coming closer to the Nephthys' and opened fired on them. As they were fighting, Davis made it to initiate his cruise engines again but got disrupted by another unidentified projectile again. As he turned his ship to look after the escort pilots, there was nothing, except for debris and the other, obviously hostile ships. It let him shiver and thinking about that case.
Davis: "This is the end of all that? From me? Or from the bigger...more important case, laying there on the bed in that room.....I think I know...."
