There will be an inactive (>40 days) and uninterested (<10 mins) player wipe on Monday 2007-03-24 (wow on my 30th birthday crazy.gif).
To ensure you don't loose your characters, please, follow Igiss' instructions in the first post of this thread.
Starting with that date, inactive/uninterested player wipes will be done daily during server maintenance restarts.
Thanks for you attention.
Daily during maintenance restarts?
Does that mean that I need to log on every character for 10 mins every 6 hours? I hope not... but then I do need someone to tell me what it really means.
Also I never really understood Igiss's first post in the thread in the first place.... I thought that I need to log on every character for more than 10minutes during the week before the wipe.
Thanks for explaining

Inactive player wipe (>40 days): Characters that haven't been used at all in the past 40 days are deleted. If the whole account remains empty (all characters were wiped), then the account (directory) is deleted as well. You need to log every character once a month to be sure your it doesn't get wiped.
Uninterested player wipe (<10 mins): Characters with overall playing time less than 10 minutes that have not been logged during the past 7 days are wiped. This shouldn't harm anyone. The player is either gone or can make the character again, as in 10 mins there is not much to loose.
Sorry, but we really need to do this, the database is huge and IFSO (our character editting SW) started crashing the server when admins need to fine/ban someone.
Thanks... so if my character has more than 10mins player time... which all have...
I only need to log once in every 40 days right?

Sorry... I have holiday now.. so brain is on vacation.... but I do know that other people have been wondering about that too.. so maybe if Igiss can edit the post in the original thread.. to make it a bit more "idiot-proof".

simple.. there you go... Xoria didn't know either...... *hides*
And yes I have the bad habbit of always going to "test" some new ship... so I make a character (for example a Corsair one)... to try... and then I found out that it's interesting and never delete the character.... => over 20 chars now:$
Yet.. I still have not tried the Templar... and I'm very tempted to.
EDIT: *stops spamming this thread*
