Where'd you get this? Looks like a copy/paste for a generic RP forum. Certain things don't exactly apply to this forum, such as putting 'Weapon of Choice' and 'Magic Ability' in the character bio. However, this is pretty good...

It's an interesting find, Sayne. I agree with Zapp that certain things there don't quite apply to our ambiance. To be honest, the general text's tone is a tad too ominous for my taste, but I guess that's okay.

I think paragraphs #2 and #4 are quite off to us and could be removed without loss.

One thing I didn't really like/agree are those labels, I think most of those are quite elitist and/or unnecessary for your post to drive the message home. I don't agree with qualifying someone as "illiterate", "semi-illiterate" based on whatever.

Remove those qualifying labels (illiterate, semi-illiterate, advanced) and everything between "despie" and "Newbie", they don't apply in Disco (we either don't use or tend to refrain from applying those terms).

"IC" instead of "BIC", or at least both.

Pointer #1 makes no sense to us.

Apart from that, it's an interesting read. I'd say, try and make your own version of that. Even with the changes, it will sound only like most "writing tips", not really like something that belongs to Disco. Great initiative anyway. Thanks.

EDIT: Ah, also... For anyone like me that uses the "Deep Blue" scheme for the forums. Red font is a killer to the eyes.

Yeh i would give that a bit of slimming down, a lot of the terms in that don't apply to us here in disco, and therefore can be removed.

But most of it seems really useful.

Looks good to me, like others and yourself have said it coudl do with some refinement, but if you still can't upload those images of yours then you've to plenty of time:)(only kidding, good luck getting past that protection junk)

Personal suggestion, combine gary/mary-sue character descriptions with powerplaying as well as godmodding/godmode.

Add to the terms with a few commonly used ones from these forums, it's one of the most common questions from a new player, what does so-and-so mean?
