To Liberty Naval Command

Admiral,
The Corona Battlegroup High Command finds your terms reasonable, and has accepted all of the conditions listed below:

So far, here is the contract:

1. Cruisers will not dock at any Liberty installations, except Norfolk Shipyard. This clause is nullified in emergencies.
   
2. Research remains the property of the Corona Battlegroup, within the terms of the Research Exlusivity agreement (See clause 3).
   
3. A total of 50 million credits in bond will be paid to Liberty, refundable on research completion:
   • 25 million credit Good Behaviour bond - Refunded if the terms of this agreement are met throughout the time of the contract.
     
   • 25 million credit Research Exclusivity agreement - Refunded if the research conducted on either Cruiser is kept exclusive to the Liberty Navy indefinately.
     
   Breaking either of these agreements will result in legal action.
   
4. The Captain of each ship will be interviewed by a member of High Command to ascertain their competence.
   
5. A Liberty Navy officer appointed as Observer on each of the cruisers - With full authorisation over the ship whilst in Liberty. (For the duration of the research)
   
6. The Cruisers are not to be within 20K of any base, except when traversing down tradelanes. The Cruisers are not to loiter* around any Liberty installation. The Cruisers are not to be within 20K of Manhatten, bar emergencies.
   *Definition of "loiter" is to be made by the ranking officer on duty
   
7. Minimum of five Liberty Navy marines guarding the power core of the cruiser (For the duration of the research)
   
8. A Liberty Navy approved homing beacon being placed on the Cruiser for tracking purposes (For the duration of the research)
   
9. An official "Termination of Research" communique from the Corona Battlegroup to Liberty Navy High Command will terminate the Cruisers clearance within Liberty.
   
10. This contract is valid indefinately - The Liberty Navy have the right to terminate any clauses within the contract at any time.
