DDS is Nvidia format of texture file and within it self it has several levels (LODs) of same texture in different sizes. DDS is part of MAT(erial) file that give ships textures (among some other texture related thigs).

Also I'm not sure if a mainly black/grey ship is the best fitting choice of color for the IMG line, don't get me wrong, it's not looking bad, but is it fitting for IMG? Still I'd prefer this more detailed textures.
