Ok, so here's an example. A pilot's got a zoner ID/IFF and is flying a whale. He's on a trade run that takes him across house space when a pirate attacks. He's right on top of a station, so what does he do?
The ID says he can't dock at the station, but real life ( and therefore quite possibly RP) says he'd do anything to save his skin.

So are there any extenuating circumstances whatsoever, whereby a player character can temporarily override his ID?
Another example. A player gets scammed by a non pirate. They meet up 5 mins later. His ID says he cannot pirate or attack other shipping. Can the other guy flip him the finger with impunity or is he allowed to do something about it?

Something unclear here ? There are no extenuating circumstances. Breaking the rules to get back at a rule
breaker makes you no better than them ...
If completely necessary, just post a sanction report.

Fair enough. I was only asking hypothetically. No need to get sarky.
