Your memory seems a little lackluster (If your Cra--I mean--Intel is Quad. Core, I'd have gone for Quad Channel RAM, not dual). However, not too bad for a laptop. Good job not going with SSD. SSD is still a bleeding edge market and they're not wholly reliable just yet.
All in all, you paid a little much, but you get what you pay for.

1.Number of cores is not related to number of memory channels.
2.I7-2670 supports dual channel only.
Back on topic. Great Ultratop?!
I just find it to expensive for the depths of my mortal pocket.
I'm kinda budget performance-price guy.
In case you ever get bored with your laptop, gimme a poke, I'll give you an address where to sent it to:P
Hate will eat you up from the inside, so hurry up and give your heart to a girl before you get eaten up.

XD, I made the 'getting too much memory' mistake with this computer once, never again.
I have 12 GB on this and never used beyond 5GB (and that was with numerous memory hogging programs at the same time including 2 games)
To account for the extra price I cheaped out in the graphics department (ATI 5770)
Never again. Going hard with the GTX 580m =P
Friggin ATI Cards can't even handle Freelancer right, constant FPS lag without using a frame limiter.
Never. Again. Hehe.

I paid $80 for my Cruicial M4 64GB. Are they more expensive than their lesser brothers? Of course - they're a newer technology. I personally find their benefits to make up for their expense.
I'm not a fan of gaming laptops - typically because in order to use them in a gaming fashion you'll be sitting at a desk/counter with it plugged in. Why not just get the real deal in that case? Mobility? My buddy has a rig he touts around to LAN parties and it isn't that much heavier than most of the gaming laptops I've ran into.
Looks like a nice laptop though - I'm an Intel and nVidia fan so I approve of those picks. Though the network card was a waste of cash. Those gaming network cards are a gimmic.

I am as well =P
I've never heard good things about AMD things, and went I went first hand with the ATI 5770 I found out it was true ... just terrible.
Nvidia cards do seem to generate more heat I will say that though.
As for the Killer, I just really didnt wanna go default and it was only $40 more.
I couldn't get an SSD or anything else I really wanted for that extra $40 so that's where it went :L
