Ah Bonjour mon amies.

Well. Today while in the field, doing patrol around Tau 23, looking for Great Whites in the rocks. We had an incident with, and no I wish I was drunk upon this, An IMG Battleship, and a Colonial craft. Yes you heard right. They shot at me, both of them. Not much of a reason at all. Just came out of Java and let the pewer's fly.

Our crew is fine due to their sloppiness but we took some damage to our port engine, so we'll be out for a few bits. Just letting you know all in all Monsieurs.

I am currently holding onto the details and visuals of the attack just in case you find this far fetched. So simply ask for em and you'll get them.

First, I am glad you are okay. I hope Java mechanics have taken on the task of restoring the damaged components already.

To the topic: Tau relations are difficult. Independent commanders sometimes do not follow the directions we hand out in the manuals and the weird Gallic transponder codes combined with old Sirian decoder technology do not help. Even in the IMG| your ships sometimes show as bright red.

In case it was no technical problem but a deliverate attack, I could think of only one solution: inform said pilots to update their transponders. If you give me the names, I can do so when I see them.

Having received a report about +LE+ threats against an IMG installation in Tau 23, I think IMG and Colonial commanders' hostile actions could also result from your stance taken towards the Brimstone project in Tau 23. An attack with that overwhelming force could be a forward defense act by base protection forces. But I am just guessing here, as much as you.

What to do:

Please let me know the names of the ships so we can tell them that you are not a threat.
Please make sure you do not provoke aggression from your part.

Let's not make a difficult Tau reality more difficult. Anyway, good to see that only material was damaged. It can be repaired easily.
