The little girl was a bit unnerving, but that seemed irrelevant after he saw that Scene 0's gamble had been successful. "So I trust that you're interested in seeing the method?"

Without waiting for the reply he continued "Here's a drive with contact frequencies for some reliable haulers. We deal exclusively with them. Don't want anybody else getting wind of this, right? Give them some pickup coords. I have a dinner date on Malta."

He placed the comm link on a console, unwilling to wait for another... child... to deal with it, he headed back towards where he remembered his ship to be. A very useful part of his training was memorizing floor plans, and he was more in his element now than ever before.

Undocking went smoothly. Time to retrace his path through this deathtrap of a system.

There was a singular... entity outside that was waiting to guide Alcor the "short way" to Alpha. The high radiation didnt seem to hurt the little fellah.. but it made no real attempt to communicate.. it was rather small too. Possibly a Morph.
