Just a quick question. Has playerbase autodamage been increased?
According to the help thread here:
"Base repair rates and damage rates are:
Wear and Tear Damage every 16 seconds = 300 + (base level x 300)"
A level 1 base should take 300 + (1 x 300) = 300 + 300 = 600 damage every 16 seconds.
However, I did a test on my own base and the closest I can come to is that it is actually taking double this damage. At 4 minutes it took ~16800 damage while it should have taken 9000 damage. At 8 minutes it took ~40000 damage while it should've taken 18000.
Is my base bugged or is this something intentionally done?
That was the last update where Cannon specifically changed/discussed player base stuff. The numbers you're using are exactly what Cannon says they are. I, for some reason, remember at time with it was:
Wear and Tear Damage every 16 seconds = 300 + (base level x 600)
Alas, I cannot find that info on the forums (might have been in Friday's Guide, didn't look). Looking at your given numbers and doing the math, you're taking even more damage that that formula would produce. There is likely something else at play here. Can you test it a few more times?
The base is hidden, and has no shield at the moment, so any attack would've destroyed it.
I repaired it to 8 000 000 hull around 8 hours ago. Since then it took 2 130 000 wear and tear damage, or ~ 1200 damage every 16 seconds, which is the level of damage a level 4 base should be taking according to the 300+(base level x 300) formula, while it's supposed to take 600 per 16 seconds, as it's level 1.
So, is this intended or is it just my base that's malfunctioning more than usual. Cannon's input would be welcome.
