You can also do 1v1's in custom rooms, etc.
Also Street Fighter. But that's pretty hard and has a steeeeeeeeeep learning curve before you know enough to beat other people online. Stuff like, judging distance by counting the squares on a wall while in a match, knowing every possible move of every character, knowing what move punishes what move and what move counters could counter the punish, stuff like that. There's also not much point if you don't have a stick.
You need a good teacher in all those sort of games, that is all really. I still prefer Freelancer over any other game, due to it being aged yet you can still learn new things, no matter how long you've been here.
