Stereo Mp3 to Multichannel(5.1) Mp3

I bought a 5.1 sound system and now I need to convert all mp3 filles from stereo to multichannel and too keep quality, how can I do this?

There should be an option in your sound card software which "converts" 2.0's to 5.1 on the fly.

I can't really say how is the option called, different language now and direct translation makes no sense at all.

Speaker expansion maybe? Can't really say.

And...how to convert a multichanel wav to stereo mp3? I need to know because I put some music on my phone.
