"So I finally broke down and got this audio recorder. Hopefully it'll make my stay on the Grimsby a bit more... bearable. And I guess this is my first log. So uhh... Day five of my stay on this post. Nothing but dust from that cloud. And that weird minefield. Pretty quiet out here."

"Day twenty-six guarding this giant hunk of space rock. I took some R&R at the research station's bar. On the way back to the hanger one of the scientists ran down the hall babbling in what sounded like a foreign language. No one else heard it. I hope I'm not getting stir crazy."

"Patrol 35-A. I hope the boys on the Gallic front are doing okay. Nothing exciting ever happens out here. Except the occasional fatality due to the minefield. Wish command would clean that up. Occasionally I hear rumors of 'Rheinland Fighter Ghosts' coming from the minefield. But I'm sure its just that."

"Life out here isn't that bad I suppose. Oh this is day six of my stay. Guess I should keep a record of that for the uhh... records. I mean the Grimsby does have that nice holoplayer they let us use for movie night. And uhh... I guess I shouldn't be recording this.. but sometimes some of the scientists... 'lose' some of the smaller rocks they pull out of that place. We've got some pretty toys hidden away. I don't think they harm anything... just let off some pretty lights and a nice warmth to them. If they do have any adverse effects medical hasn't picked it up."
