[color=#33CCFF]Hate to interrupt you Admiral but this is rather.. urgent. Yesterday at approximately 1600 hours, myself and Admiral Baker received a distress call from the Order about a full grown squid in Alaska. Fearing the worst, we picked up several contacts at Anchorage, but the following events have been.. an eye opener, for myself and everyone involved. The vessel involved was Aurora, whom I believe you are familiar with. It seems to have gotten.. bigger, and is also attempting to liberate the rest of it's kind, which it claims another node called Harbinger has enslaved. It also informed us that this Harbinger intends to use the same weapon that it did against Toledo again, which is actually a device to seed worlds with Cardamine. Do to our proximity, both me and Admiral Baker agree that Liberty is next in line.
Not all is lost, however. Here's where it gets interesting.. Not only were we able to convince the Order to stand down, but they wish to have a face to face meeting, regarding a ceasefire and potential cooperation against both Gallia and Harbinger's forces. This meeting would not involve simply our two parties, but they requested Aurora's presence as well, and seem to be willing to cooperate further with these freed Slomon K'hara. They even mentioned that they could assistance in intel gathering operations against Gallia, which Aurora unfortunately claims Harbinger knows of. The LSF directorate has already been informed I imagine, as a director was present and understandbly they wish to attend as well.
So far the general consensus has been that Anchorage orbit would serve as a prime meeting point, onboard a large, secure vessel - Perhaps the Durango or Normandie. That is, of course, if you'd be willing to go, and with due respect Admiral I don't think I can stress to you enough the importance of these events. If Harbinger's forces are still in possession of such a weapon, we need the people who are in the know on our side, nor can we risk splitting our forces with the threat of Gallia encroaching on our borders.
Get back to me as soon as you can, I'll be watching this channel. Sanders out.
COMM ID:Fleet Admiral David Hale TARGET ID:Captain Roy Sanders SUBJECT:Aurora, nomads, and the Order. ENCRYPTION:HIGH PRIORITY:HIGH
Good evening Sanders. Apologies for the rather delayed reply, I made an effort at responding to this with the urgency it deserves, however technological failures are not something which sits at my fingertips to resolve. It's put a number of things on hold, this being one of the higher priority issues. Such is life.
I am well aware of the nomad mind known as Aurora, as well as a number of the major participants in this encounter which you had. The direction to take with the nomad civil war is one that has been sitting on my mind for some time. It is something of a leap of trust and judgement to regard any of the blue-man-group as being less than hostile, but with the evidence which has so far been presented to me, and first hand experience, I am coming slowly to the conclusion that we should probably be persuing the idea of gaining a new, if rather odd, "ally".
I'm unsure if ally is the correct term, but I'm sure you understand.
I have been engaged in dialogue with the order agent known as Taweret myself in several occasions. She has proved more than willing to share some rather important information with myself and a few other members of both the Liberty navy and LSF. This is rather counter to the majority within the Order, who are perhaps rather more fond of empire building in the Omicrons, than they are with following their stated and noble goals of "protecting humanity". I believe Taweret is someone in whom we should place a degree of cautionary trust.
I am unsure as to the sway Taweret has within the Order command structure, but I guess there is only one way to find out.
I strongly suggest we participate in this conference, if it were to happen. The Normandie seems like the idea venue. Well protected and secure. I would also station the Durango nearby on security detail, incase anything untoward happens. Planet Anchorage is both easily accessable for all parties, and within easy reach of large reserves.
I will send a message to Robert McKay, and ask for his participation, as well as an inivitation to Colonel Henri Lavalle and Alice DeFrance, as I have some recent information and observations which have led me to believe Gallia is rather firmly involved in the situation, and may well prove to be another peice in the nomad jigsaw.
You will be kept informed. This message is being copied to the entire Liberty Navy high command, as well as Mr McKay and the various relevant individuals.
To KM, since I know you will read this, we need to talk some time before this meeting occurs. You have the access code to my office, you know where to find me.
