It is not often that the lines of communication betwixt our governments are opened. The last was when the war cabinet stormed out of armistice talks after demanding Mollys throw their lives against Gallia without compensation or consideration of a free Dublin.
The purpose of this communique is to propose an exchange. The Bretonian Crown is in possession of some twelve Molly pilots taken during the time of the Bretonian war with Kusari. The previous Molly government attempted to work with Bretonia against the invading forces only to be set upon by the BAF at the conclusion of the combat encounters. We wish them to be freed.
In exchange we offer forty-eight BAF and BPA prisoners held by the Mollys since that same time period. Forty-eight of yours for twelve of ours is more than reasonable.
In addition, you have as prisoner an independent Molly pilot who refers to himself as Captain Hone. For reasons of our own, we wish him returned to our own custody. It happens that one of your senior BPA officers of similar name, one Nathan Hone, was recently captured by Gallia forces. The Mollys have secured his release to our personnel and make offer to the Crown.
The Bretonian government is offered their choice in exchange for the Molly captain Hone their choice of the return of your police officer in one for one exchange, or the further release of twenty two other prisoners. Choose whichever is more important to you, one lone man or twenty two more pilots to aid you in your wars.
We will grant thirty six hours for you to mull it over and make a decision.
Now, it has been quite some time since I have had any real talks with a Molly, I am rather surprised to see something of this order. There was some cooperation in the past, which has since decayed. Rapidly and likely permanently.
To the present... perhaps from your experience out in the Gold fields, but it does seem that your Dubliners still hold onto the ability to make an appealing offer. I'm sure this I'm to take this as a comment on what you think of our pilots, being only worth a quarter of a "true free Molly".
I've come up with the list of the pilots you likely mean on your end, having retaken my post somewhat with Bailey signing most of the paperwork. Free Bretonians for "Free Bretonians", the numbers you gave will be part of the exchange.
This Captain Hone you have requested, would be a particular load off of our minds. Having to be put in a separate cell and moved repeatedly, we'll see how "your own custody" suits him. The twenty-two men and women who have spent years in your tender care are our choice in exchange for Hone.
As for the exchange, neutral space around the Battleship Hood seems fitting enough.
The rather large surplus of lightly-armoured and cloaked Challengers being produced but not destroyed, would be of more use in their many hands. Perhaps the Chief Inspector will have a way out soon enough. Now as to how you came to possess Chief Inspector Nathan after he was taken by the Gauls, well that is interesting from what else we've seen...
