Texas -> Minnesota issue

At first, I wanted to get to the Quebec sector, being myself from Quebec city.
Looked it up on the wiki... so I had to go Texas -> Minnesota -> Quebec... Ok, not so bad...
So I get to Texas, find the "Unknown Jump Gate"... and explose.
"Oh great, a minefield. I'll go in slow then."
Boom.
"Ok, nevermind"
fast forward a week
"Hmmm let's see how much I can sell these things... Oh, Minnesota has a great price"... Heads to Texas...
"Oh, yeah, the mines..."

So, long story short... the Question is... Is it even possible to get to Minnesota? If so, how???

That's the Jump Gate to Virginia, not Minnesota. The Wiki quite clearly states that the Minnesota Jump Hole is in F4, not F3. Just head "east" from Planet Houston and you should be able to find it quickly. If that doesn't work; download Freelancer Companion, which will give you the exact location of the Jump Hole.

Minnesota is lead to by a jumphole, not a jumpgate. The minefield you're running into leads to Virgnia, the LN Guard system. The jumphole to Minnesota is roughly on the right border of F4, just a short flight from Houston
