The year is 820. AS. Jack Forges, now a sucessful mercenary, is doing what he always does. But today, he stumbled upon his old data-pad, which he thought he lost. The data-pad revealed some of the things he forgot, both his past, and the present.

Opening up a few folders inside the PDA, he finds some of the past things he's done. He opens a couple and starts reading.

Chapter I : Revelations

Date: 29th of August, 811 AS

I've decided It's time to tell them what I think about joining the BAF. But, on the other hand, James doesn't want me to do it. Nevermind, I'll just tell them and get this over with.


While landing on the docking bay, he sees a familiar face waiting for him outside. It was Sarah, his friend, or maybe more then one, waiting for him to come.

As he comes closer, she runs towards him and gives him a big hug.

Where have you been this long?

-Had some stuff to fix before I came back to Leeds. Let's find James, I have to tell you two something that's bothering me for quite some time.

Okay, he came with me, he's there, waiting next to my ship.

-Alright, let's go.

For a brief moment, he just stood there, watching her go away, he felt something in his chest, that didn't really feel right. She turns around to see him standing in one place, looking towards her.

Are you okay?

-Yeah I'm all fine, just had a moment.

Okay, he's there.

James McNeal, a good student, but a well known law-breaker, was a friend of Jacks. Jack, James and Sarah all went together to Highschool and College, and all of them graduated together too. James was a petty thief, but has also been known to assault officers of the law.

-James, you son of a gun!

He comes closer and hugs him.

-Where have you been man, whats going on?

Not much Jack, not much. Just got out of the station. Been doin' some stuff around, you see.

-Yeah, as always

He taps him on the back a couple of times and continues talking.

-Okay, so, you don't know why I called you, right?

Yeah. Got no idea.

-Look, I know some of you won't take this the right way so I'll just cut to the point. I was thinking of joining the Armed Forces.

Sarah and James stood there, looking at him not telling a word. On James' face you can see that he's getting a bit angry and out of control.

-Before you say anything, yes I tought this over a couple of times already, and I just feel obligated to join the cause of Her Majesty.

-Right now, I'm going to say a Goodbye to both of you for a couple of months, so I can fix myself a bit and join them.

Sarah came towards Jack, gave him another hug, backed off a bit and started speaking again.

Well, I fully support you. But you have to be aware that It'll probably change you, but I'm not so sure.

-What do you think James?

James, still standing there, getting more pissed by the moment, just nodded and told.

Yeah, I have to go, you know... Got something to do.

While telling them that, he rushed to the back alley and dissapeared.

- Well, seems like he's gone.

Yeah,... wanna grab a drink before you go?

-Why not, I know a place.

A couple of drinks later, they both departed in different directions. Jack hopped inside his ship, and after a few moments, was in-space. Not knowing whats about to happen, he took the lane to New London.

10 seconds after entering the lane, his ship started notifying him about hostiles.

- What the hell now?

He starts thinking about how to get out of the situation. What he didn't know is that the "enemy contact" is in fact his "friend" James, cutting down the lane infront of him.

- James, what the hell man?

Well, since you decided you want to become an Officer, I tought of ending you right now. You're making a wrong decision man!

- James, what the heck? Are you out of your mind?

During the debate that's going to continue, he called Sarah to come help him with James.

I'm good, but you seem to lost it, didn't you pal?

- James, get it together. It's me, Jack!

You are not the Jack I knew. The old Jack would help me, but you, you are making it worse.

The debate continued for another 20 minutes. Sarah was entering the scene with her Scimitar. While entering the scene, she notices that James is about to blow up, and she tries to calm them both down

- Sarah, thank god. Look at James, he's going nuts!

James, get it together. It's Jack. Don't you remember?

Why did you call her? This is only going to get worse, and you know it!

Boys, calm down! Get it together, both of you. Stand down!

Stop telling me what to do!

- James, calm down man, It's going to happen anyways!

Not going to if I blast your ship now!

His borderworlds bomber was a far bigger opponent than Jack and Sarah had. They both had Scimitar Light Fighters.

Armed with Hellfire missiles, James opened fire on Jacks' ship

Noooooooo!

Sarah quickly went in the way between the missiles and Jack, which ripped her ship appart, and damaging the escape pod. What they all didn't know is that a civilian reported presence of pirates on the lane to New London.

- Oh my god! James, you idiot, look what you've done!

Watching the scene, the ship opened up like a tin-can, Jack tractored in the escape pod. Behind them all, 4 Templars were showing up, both on their scanners and their field of view.

There is no time! Quickly, I've loaded up a waypoint into your neural-net, follow it. This is the least I can do for both of you. I'm sorry.

His voice was going silent. James started his cruise engines and started following the waypoint, while seeing James' ship being thorn apart by the wing of fighters, and his escape pod being destroyed on the spot. He was worried if Sarah was alright, so he left the auto-pilot on, and quickly went inside the cargo room

In the cargo bay, he noticed that the escape pod was heavily damaged, and when he opened it up, he noticed that Sarah was unconcious, with a few scratches, and ripped clothing. He put his arm on her neck, trying to feel if she's still alive, trying to see if there's some sort of pulse going through her body. Luckily for both of them, her pulse was slow, but she was okay. He grabbed the med-kit and started covering her scars with bandages. He put her in his cabin, on his bed, where she could rest. He hoped that she's going to get alright, but if they don't find help soon, she's doomed. His only hope, the waypoint James gave him before being killed.
