I've begun the countdown from taking the designing stage of my AirSoft Rifle line into actual production of the prototype.
Goals:
Increase Realism
Increase Endurance
Improve Function
Improve Point Blank Range (Rise and Fall range)
Improves Accuracy From PBR.
Improve Cold Weather Performance
Improve Wet Weather Performance
Simplify design, breakdown, maintenance, and upgrades.
The Rifle By Line; FPS > Cal. (# Mark indicates First Prototype Product)
ZIGKAR-BR : 550 @ 6mm or 8mm (Barrel interchange) (Length 33 in (840 mm) (Semi-Full)(Cartage Gas Propellant) (30&50 Round Mag)
#ZIGKAR-CQB : 550FPS @ 6mm or 8mm (Barrel interchange) (Length 16 in (406.40mm) (Semi-Full) (Cartage Gas Propellant) (30&50 Round Mag)
I will later release the exterior design work for each. I have four special first generation types that will be custom to the specs of the owners who are also working with me on the project. The differences of these special rifles will be fire rate and paint schemes.
The countdown is at 5 months, 26 days, and 7 hours. Once that expires and the amount of 2,500 USD has been reached I will begin transforming the 3d models into actual physical parts that will make up the internal components of the rifle. Pending on how smooth the testing process goes I could roll out the first finished production type within two months.
My reason for bringing attention here is that I wouldn't mind sending some internationally for those who desire a rifle. However, the rounds for the weapon, are highly specialized so I have to figure out a way to mass production the rounds while making them extremely cheap to purchase. IE 1,000 rounds for 10 USD (fills x20 50 round mags).
If you would like to help me out or have ideas of your own you can write me here or contact me via Skype! zigerisgarmen.
I won't place my PayPal donation link here, you'll have to pm me for that.
Thank you,
Zigeris
PS. Spray and pray harder eventually you'll hit them! xD
A 380FPS can break skin, these are the "High" numbers to aim for. During the testing processes I aim to adjust the power to meet the approach situation. The two ZIGKARS are basically the same rifle just longer stock and barrel. I am uniformly designing them with the same exact power plant because I haven't decided if I am going to drop the FPS (once fine tuned) for the CQB. IE if the optimal FPS is 455 for the ZIGKAR-BR then the ZIGKAR-CQB would be a 380-400FPS.
It's all about the testing.
Safety is a concern of mine, but thankfully I have willing team members who have signed up to be shot by these xD I will be too, it's part of the deal.
Now...the sniper rifles.... I am very reluctant to make a domestic version just because I know people don't follow safety protocols. In the end you'll probably not find anything higher than 500 for the sniper versions (IF THEY MEET THEIR PERFORMANCE RATES). The numbers I've placed are the highest I feel is ever necessary.
