I'm having a hard time finding an affiliation (other than freelancer) that lets me run this whole route-- maybe Gateway-- but it is a good money maker.
EDIT: Gateway works. I just had to take a Kruger bribe and all the stations along the route are dockable.
Penn has some stuff set up to make it easier for newbies, but I don't spend much time there. I know of some routes like that, but I'm looking for something better.
He-3 from Sigma-13 to Southampton is good as well.

This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.
I'm sure someone can improve on it, but at least it avoids the embargo between Rheinland and Liberty (& the blown jumpgates) and plugs the holes in the commodities market with some new ones (no more mining machinery at Freiburg, fertilizers no longer sold at some bases). It also has fewer steps, but I might be missing out on some profitable stops along the way.

the best thing to do right now is to /restart fcfreelancer and fly to as many bases as you can on your intended character. find a route that suits you the best, and of course, avoids pirate hotspots.
you don't need an affiliation - my trader started with a junker bribe, and then a molly bribe and then went around shooting stuff to get neutral with everyone except GC for some reason - now i can fly around and dock pretty much anywhere (guard systems and garlics excepted, but i dont want to go in there as the profit/sec isn't that much higher to refill the bb's you use just getting past the jh).
Ummm... because I figure the commodities and routes will stay basically the same-- and the flight times.

The affiliation stuff is personal-- I did plenty as a Freelancer and took plenty of bribes to stay neutral. If you want to do that, fine.
With Freelancer companion I don't really need to fly to all the bases-- I can research routes with FLC and then go test them for actual flight times.
But really, my post was just in case someone was searching the site for a trade route and wanted to try this one. If not, no biggie.
People make a big deal of taking a vacation and doing nothing normal or just pew-pewing in Conn until the rollback, but that makes no sense to me. I just do what I've always done. Except mine.
