I was there on May 25th 1977, the day Star Wars opened in the theater statewide & I watched pop culture change in front of my eyes. I give credit to Lucas & the franchise the proper kudos for their hand in helping develop major portions of my internal monologue & general outlook on life as I know it, at a very young age, but that also qualifies me beyond most to say beyond a shadow of a doubt: Screw Star Wars. Lucas was a sellout bitch decades ago & Most of what drives the general Star Wars fandom nowandays is an unjustifiable crapload of hero worship coupled with nostalgic brand-conscious bandwaggoning.
