primarily - an objective view would be that ... as pointed out, also i believe to remember by the OP himself - the zoner capital ships have caused more problems than blessings.
but we cannot easily roll them back - they have become established history of many years for zoners.
... however we can prevent the same problem to arise for the junkers by not giving them those ships. - junkers have managed to stay below the radar - and never have been scapegoats for "everthing wrong with disco" in the last years. - lets just pretend that is also due to their rather underwhelming shipline that does not inspire jealousy in other players much.
aside from that
if junkers really and seriously want capital warships - they can contact the devs and discuss the matter - that is .. the official faction leader can contact the devs.
the process is simple
- convince the storyline dev lead
- convince the model lead dev
- get a modeller willing to assist
- wait 3 years for 4.89

They actually constantly fighting the Lawful's forces - that is completely different.
Junkers are just scrap collectors - who don't really goto war.
usually power in a world of equals is a multilateral agreement of dominance vs. submission. - so power is what the players make / create themselves - that is not much affected by the dev team.
however - if power is also playgrounds or toys - then it is dev work. - when power is systems of influence - it is probably interaction between faction-(leaders) and the admin team.
if it is power over toys - it is the devs. - but if not capital warships - the junkers do have access to all there is.
so - why don t you have more .. i guess if i rephrase it ... "more progression"?
i am not sure if the official junker faction had contacted friday - when he was still dev working on the storyline - or if they have contacted the devs afterwards ( probably AD or cannon ) ... i just know that we do not have anything significant for junkers on the trac.
so why do other factions get progression? - lets pick bretonia as an example...
... the bret representative came to the devs to discuss a specific storyline - about desperate building of ships, retreat - story etc. - and a solution was passed. - but the initiative was theirs - and they pushed it. - and thats how it must be done.
they were also open minded not to stick to only their idea - but embrace multiple views. they don t necessarily get what they wanted 100% - but they get progression that they agreed on - as a compromise.
IF the junkers ( official faction ) had contacted the dev team with reasonable and sensible ideas of progression - and that was ignored - the b lame it with the dev team indeed - unless there were reasons to ignore them. but even in that case - the dev team representative should inform the faction leader about the reasons of the rejection.
now - i d wonder what kind of developement / progression was proposed to happen with junkers. - what was brought forth to the dev team in the past ( around mid - last year when the story was decided )
