I'd be more than happy to help with this. I enjoy trader politics a lot, and I'm the director of Trade Operations for Gateway Interstellar, and I setup most of our routes according to RP.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered.
We have a fantastic team put together with a large diversity of both real life and Freelancer experience. This group needs to remain relatively small or it will create TMI : Too Much Information. We are working under a deadline, and there is a lot of data to process as it is, so this is definitely a case of "too many chefs can ruin the soup".
There will be opportunities for community input on certain issues and decisions, and we may need more help as we get further into the project.
Thanks to everyone was interested in providing assistance.

I could help too, but my question is: do we have enough people playing for a change like this?
Think about piracy: there are several powertrade routes, always filled with traders. Carnivores are, where the food is; that`s why pirates are also on those routes. The thing is, if the routes are all over sirius, it will be extremely hard to pirate. Watch out, i`ve been playing freelancer on different servers and they went down because of too much intervention in the gameplay.
' Wrote:In particular, these issues need to be analyzed for each commodity :
1. Routes should be balanced throughout Sirius so no region has substantially more nor less profitable routes than the other regions
2. Buy and sell points should be examined to make sure there are no "powertrading" opportunities created that are devoid of roleplay authenticity or dramatically increase profits (think : Tau 31 prisoners from last fall)
3. Unlawful factions need to be covered in terms of being able to sell stolen loot in their region of Sirius.
4. Long range circuits should be more profitable than short or medium range circuits. In other words, the best trade circuits should take a trader on a long trip around Sirius before he gets back to where he started.
I would actually lok forward to routes that take me all over. Sigma 13 is too crowded....
