On this nearly unused high frequence, a weak, system-wide signal can be detected, though its source is unlocatable. It contains, when being opened, an ancient piece of music, played in the cockpit of its discoverer.
Only adept beings know that in the white noise of this transmission, a high-encoded holo-message is located...
Cracking the code, the message starts automatically.
Guten Tag, pilot...
As requested, I have collected the desired samples of these highly interesting organisms...40 standard units of them.
Being safe in the close-to-perfection calibrated enverimont containers, the extremophiles will be able to survive a very long time...even longer than I have calculated at our meeting...The following link will give a live-stream countdown to the beginning of the organisms' decay...
[T- 36:56:24]
In the extra-encoded postscriptum, I provide the coordinates of the sample's container...as well as a safe contact adress for further interactions.
PS: [*code*] Coordinates: Sector B 5, raster 4-4; 8,54 klicks beneath solar angle ; the sun's radiation should hide the exact location from unwanted people,[*code*]
PPS: I have kept a sample of those organisms for myself...as a matter of fact, this species seems to be as good as not investigated yet...
*End of message*
*End of transmission*
*Signal lost*
*When flying to the given coordinates, the signal gets stronger. And look at that: The said container is floating around in space, kept in the Chester sun's orbit.
Fixed to the container, an USB flash drive can is hidden in a buldge on the surface of the container...on it, there is written: "Best of primitive human music" , together with something which looks like a smiley.
"With this transmission, we have bundled a token of our appreciation:"
"Some of the many small factors that together make the organisms you provided what they are."
"Consider it your reward."
"Keep an eye on this frequency. We may have use for you again."
*For the second time, a well-encrypted message is wafting through the ether in Chester System on the high frequence 368.1 Alpha*
*The source of the signal is not well-hidden this time, though. Tracking it down, you end up at a small blackbox floating around in the middle of nowhere. Looks like the box repeats the message over and over again for any potential recipient...*
Greetings, dear pilot.
Instead of contacting you directly, i have dropped the black box here...had to take care of something before we meet personally.
So, when you are reading this, contact me over our other frequence.
The mission on Gaia did go well, nobody has seen me or suspected anything. It went perfectly for the samples. Averagly for me...but we will talk about my personal experience later...the experiences i have made in the green hell called GAIAN JUNGLE. *sounds angry*
*holds up his hand in the holo screen...only four fingers remaining*
But, most important thing, i have got the ten aquatic species, all as different as possible in their physiology and genetics. The water tanks they are in right now were designed by engineers who constructed them for this porpuse only...i wanna tell you by mentioning this that this did cost. A LOT.
But money well spent, i would say. The vital datas of the subjects are constant and it looks like they will be pretty comfy in their golden aquariums...
Just look at one of those fellas:
*The pictures popups are all in 3D*
Whoah wait, that picture should not belong here...that should have gone in my private holo diary...no worries, the sushi was bought on New London right before the start to Gaia...
Adorable isn't it? The first one is the Blobfish (Blobba maximae turpidensis hansii), I like it the most...because it is my first aquatical species which i have discovered all by myself. (since i could not find it charted in the catalogue of Gaian species, i took advantage out of this lack of categorization and named it myself.)
I also aquired samples of their food and preys so you can do a genetical scan of the those to replicate the fishes' natural food. This way, our animalistic friends get constantly fresh meals at their new home.
Anyways, I took my own genetical samples from the animals as well and saved the results for my...personal task.
Speaking of tasks, I am ready to complete this one. Contact me anytime on the arranged frequence. I am looking forward to present the results in persona.
Goeben out.
*At the end of the message, a song starts playing*
